  1. As a CHILD he wanted to go to Texas. As an ADULT he is forever grateful he attended Texas A & M!
  2. I too wish TCU the best of luck at Omaha!! What an exciting time this is for the Frogs!!
  3. When a team is ranked as TU is/has been it is a total shame to go to the Big 12 Tournament and wind up 0 for 3. Aggies played great ball and just outplayed the others. It may be just a Big 12 Tournament ring and MVP of said tournament, but it's Brodie's third ring in four years and he has made an everlasting mark in A&M Baseball!! Not bad for a kid from Bullard!! And we aren't done yet!
  4. :nowhearthis: A baseball player should step on the field everytime with the sole intent of giving it his all and striving for the win. He had an off day, it happens to players/teams all time. Still an incredible pitcher!
  5. Injuries are always sad no matter what team or what player.
  6. Brody was named Big 12 Player of the Week after sweeping the 3 game series against Seton Hall (sp?) this past weekend at Olsen Field in College Station. Congratulations Brody & keep up the good/hard work, its obviously paying off!!!! :notworthy: :notworthy:
  7. Great job by Bullard, and always fun to watch! Sure gonna miss this group of kids. Thanks for making us so proud!! :notworthy:
  8. Texas is definitely stacked in the pitching department this year. Of course I have only been interested in college baseball the last four years, but each season they have had an exceptional team with loads of talent. They have an awesome coach and a great program. But they have been beaten and will be again this year. I am very glad they are wearing the bullseye on their backs as being ranked #1, it's a hard position to maintain. A&M baseball won back to back Big 12 Championships in 2007 and 2008, Texas taking it in 2009. I attended the series between Ags and Horns in 2009 & it was awesome but extremely frustrating for A&M. If you were there you know what I am talking about. Series ended Texas 2 Ags 1 under much controversy. I must add that Thanksgiving 2007 A&M football won at Texas and Thanksgiving 2008 A&M won at home. This year it looked like to me that A&M may be starting to come around in football. Immortal, please keep in mind when watching A&M and Texas this year, Brody will be covering centerfield :coolball: and is still representing Bullard quite nicely!
  9. IMO: A&M is number 1 in many ways, sure its great to win titles, but Character, Discipline and Class is something instilled in students at this awesome university and they never lose it. Not to say other universities don't (have visited many of these), but for four years now I have come to know a great many people, students, teachers, athletes and coaches (people that work in the ticket booths & concession!) and that is just one h_ll of a school! I have seen other players and coaches behave in such a manner that A&M only makes me more gratefull that they gave my son the chance of a lifetime! Yep, I'm a proud Aggie mom & will continue to sing their praises no matter what the "title count" is. My son will take so much with him when he leaves, and it will last a lifetime and then some. Thank you Texas A&M!! Now lets play baseball!!!! :coolball:  :woohoo:
  10. :nowhearthis: Brody singing the praises of his brother Koby all over College Station. He's one proud former Panther!!! :notworthy:
  11. Really was a good game, not a single boring second in that one! One game at a time Panthers and focus! Congrats!!! :notworthy:
  12. Cell phones, jackets, food crates etc. Pathetic.
  13. Another reason to support "the refs were questionable" coz I saw 2 different instances where there should have been T's on CH. Unfortunately, refs missed this. Something that seems to be getting out of hand more and more is the fact that the refs are NOT controlling the game. I have seen this in many games and if this is not going to be addressed, soon there will be injuries that otherwise could have been prevented. :cripple: CH coach not helping his team at all with building character. I also watched as he refused to shake hands with the Bullard players, that says a great deal about his character, or lack thereof. I'm sure he still has nightmares over last year's game in which he was reduced to crying because he could not handle the Bullard crowd. Neither could Thundarr! #3 Jordan Williams is basically all CH has and knowing him personally, I hate that he is having to carry the team so much. He works hard at the game, all sports, and I wish him well! Good luck Bullard, be proud of yourselves and your coach, all doing a great job!!
  14. Whoa! Careful what you say, and you just said a great deal. Just who died and made you king/queen of the way we raise our children? You obviously have no idea what you are talking about and you need to spend more time figuring out a way NOT to trash people. You are so sure you have all the knowledge, just what do you know about this whole issue? Obviously not a parent of one of the seniors, so let us hear how you are so sure that the parents let it happen. I am the parent of one of those seniors and have raised two boys that have participated in every sport they could. NEVER did we allow our kids to quit, and there were times in both of their lives that they wanted to quit. We sat down with them, found out their reasons for wanting to quit and there was never a good enough reason from them. I also believe that there is always a possibility their reason IS good enough. This was actually one of those times. You say the coach was not given enough respect by the players. What about the coach respecting the players? It should be a mutual thing. A coach should be open to his players views and opinions regarding the game, the team & whatever else might be on their mind. Their ideas and opinions were never allowed to be heard. My boys have and always will treat everyone with respect, even when the person did not deserve it. Just stick to making your own precious little do what is right. :bye:
  15. Serious hats off to Carthage!!!! I had my own team to support last nite or I would have made that trip! As I said last week Center, what goes around comes around!
  16. I was very proud of our team last nite and these kids deserve our support. They NEVER quit which can say so much for for a team than what the scoreboard does! We took the loss with grace and I have to commend the Gilmer team. They are awesome and I for one am amazed at how well the offense excutes their plays. The score was big, we expected that, but I for one saw many incidents where Gilmer players extended their hand and displayed some support for our kids. I dont feel that it was an intentional case of overkill, we just do not have the size, experience and yes talent that Gilmer possesses. I did not witness any intentional cheap shots or arrogance from these players. Second string was utilized and they did not have to do that. The Center vs. Bullard game of last week was, to me, the biggest display of arrogance and disrespect. Congratulations to Gilmer and hope all goes well, especially to the players already committed to D1 schools and I will continue to follow them in the future. These kids are from East Texas and we should support them just as well because they will represent all of us at the next level. Bullard, keep your heads held high and know that you went out and faced this incredible team with diginity and pride. You play the game because you love it and your school and we love you for that! :notworthy:
  17. .........for remainder of time with Texas A&M! When the draft was over in June, I thought it was over but on August 10th Brodie was again contacted by the Phillies. This time they flew him to Philadelphia, wined and dined him & put him up in a really nice hotel. But when Friday August 14th rolled around, they failed to meet Brodie's monetary figure and he graciously bowed out and came back to A&M! Coach Childress and Coach Deggs were on pins & needles but of course supported him if he decided to go. After returning Brodie was informed by Coach Childress that it had been decided that he would receive 100% scholarship for the remainder of his time with Texas A&M. He had been feeling a bit down after the trip, going to Major League is the ultimate goal for him, and wondered if he had done the right thing. Now he smiles and he is very certain he made the right decision! After all, there will be another draft next spring and I feel certain that he will have another chance at the Big Leagues but for now he is a Senior and has his work cut out for him as they begin preparing for spring 2010! :coolball:
