  1. Can't figure this out...Miami Dolphins lose out on Tyler's Matt Flynn due to feet dragging and now they have focused their attention on former J'ville Jaguar David Garrad, who was horrible as a Jag!
  2. Brook Hill's Minter and Moss have already signed with A&M. I would thing they deserve consideration at the least.
  3. A lot of 35-4A is doing a Thursday-Saturday schedule this week due to testing.
  4. Whitehouse won, not sure of score...These two play again on Monday to open District.
  5. Nac and Jax are both 3-1 and are tied in the points, with Palestine, Hudson and Diboll at 2-2. Still wide open as the first round of district ends this evening. Still very wide open, to say the least.
  6. I do not mean this in a disrespectfule way at all, but there is abig drop off in size, athleticism, etc. in Bullard and Kilgore.
  7. Coach Wilson did a great job with Bullard last year and the team exceeded expectations by a mile. In 16-3A Bullard will be going up against two schools (Henderson and Kilgore) that have dropped down from 4A. Overall the talent level of teams like Gilmer, Chapel Hill, Henderson and Kilgore is so much greater than teams in Bullard's old district (eg. Rusk, Brownsboro, Athens). While the games must be decided on the field, when you look at Henderson, Chapel Hill, Gilmer and Kilgore and think one of those four teams is not going to make the playoffs, regardless of how good they are, it's hard to make a case at that point that the Bullard football program is at the level of those four schools. Bullard only had one tough distirct opponenet last year - Chapel Hill. Now the Panthers will have to take on Gilmer, Henderson and Kilgore IN ADDITION to Chapel Hill. Bullard is going to have to physically toughen up to keep pace with having to line up against those guys week after to week in district. Nothing is impossible however.
  8. Henderson is absolutely the team to beat in this district! With the talent the Lady Lions have, barring injuries, anything short of a 2-3 round deep playoff run would be a disappointment.
  9. IF something were said in front of a female employee/observer/trainee, etc by a male at any workplace that was inappropriate, then there are rules that govern that type of behavior in any workplace in America. Usually those violations are not against the law, but are against company policies, and those violating code of conduct articles can be disciplined for their actions. These polices protect employees that work at businesses ranging from Joe's Burgers to, JC Penny to XYZ school district.
  10. According to UIL website Lorena beat Huntington, 56-34, last night.
  11. 32Dive...Jax is a game up on JT now and has clinched at least a share of the title. If JT beats Jax they both will finish disrtict with 2 league losses and will be co-district champions. If Jax wins, the Indians will be outright distrcit champs and the Lions will go to the layoffs as the second-place team.
  12. You are correct Nonsuch....they give up a HUGE home-court advantage by having to play at Lon Morris. But with the JHS Gym only seating around 900, the safest choice is LMC, where around 2,000 people attended last year's game. Onm the flip side, the JT upset loss to Marshall will probably serve to motivate the Lions to play at an even higher level the rest of the way having recently tasted defeat for the first time in a long time.
  13. Class 1A-I, Region 3, bi-district New Summerfield vs. Beckville, 6:30 p.m, Tuesday, Masters Gymnasium, Kilgore College
