I believe Coach B has coached them all year. I was told he and his assistants were doing double duty. Remember he had those guys in off season all year. Maybe that's why they looked better. I mean losing to an undefeated Marshall team by 30, my not be a reason to get ya panties in a wad. They been beating people like that all year. LE was down to Marshall at half by 9.Ended up losing by 25 Marshall pulled away late. Already can see improvement from Tuesday disaster. I may be wrong but Leopards will be ready by district.

LE went 2-2 at Brownsboro tourney. They lost to Westwood and Hooks. Played without 5 players or so due to ACT testing on Saturday. Looking forward to the T High LE game on Tuesday.

Hooks is for real no doubt. FYI. LE was playing without 6 of their players do to ACT test. GOOD LUCKS TO THE HORNETS THIS SEASON.

There are lots of people on here that dont know what they are talking about and making speculations. The new head coach will have an opportunity to work with his straight basketball players during football season and after basketball season as well. At least thats the word around the school, and thats what the kids have been told. I have also been told by a couple of basketball players that Summer league basketball will begin the second week in June. There are alot of people here in LE that are ruffled by Collvins not being head coach, and their are alot of people here that are welcoming the new coach and is ready for some change. Good luck to Coach Collvins who is a great man and coach, and Good luck to Coach Byrdsong who is also a great man and coach. Sometimes change can be a good thing but, its like medicine people dont like it. "Only time will tell"

I wouldn't say that anybody that knows Coach Byrdsong knows he is a heck of a basketball coach, and he just happens to be a good football coach as well. I just hate we couldn't have got him here in Tatum. Good Luck to Coach Byrdsong if this is true and LE just got better.

Ok you made some very valid points and I agree that, if he wants to play BOTH football and basketball then I respect that. I just thought that the quote I read from his high school coach said that he wanted to play college basketball and he would also entertain a school that would possibly offer him a dual or allow him to do both. Now the part I want you to understand is Oral Roberts offered him a full ride to play Basketball, meaning that they wanted him to do that full time, and all I was saying is I dont know if he can treat College like high school and just show up to the gym and play against guys who do this full time year around. Also football and track really go hand in hand in East Texas and mostly everywhere else. I just think what Jamal Charles and Terrance Newman did were a little different. I never heard of football season rolling over into track season, and let me also add this how many guys right now can leave College football and go run track, a heck of alot more that can go play football and basketball or fball and baseball. Those sports take more skills. Track is more of individual God given sport, If you can run, you can run. Anyway this is a forum and thats all these are is opinions. I respect yours and just wanted to drop mine. Heck I hope the kid goes and has the NFL and the NBA wanting him. I was just stating my opinion.

yea your right, Im gonna have to head out pretty early to have a decent seat, or seat at all for that matter. I got there at 5:00 when they played JT and it was already packed.

So let me get this straight he may sign a FOOTBALL scholarship with Houston on tomorrow, and they are going to let him play basketball. WOW seems to me if he really wanted to play basketball he would just go to Oral Roberts and go straight hoops. I dont get it. Football is not over until Dec or Jan and then head to the gym. His skills are not that good on the court to play fball and then go to gym in COLLEGE. Doesnt make sense, but good luck!

When does Jax play Whitehouse??

Saw him play againt Jax this year and I think he just had an off game. I saw him play last year a couple of times and I was very impressed. Now Big D1 impressed, well I dont think so but Im not a scout. I plan on going to the JT, JAX game on next Tuesday looking forward to seeing how Bowser plays in the rematch. Anyway, good luck to the young man on whatever he decides to do.

JT needs to focus on Corsicana, who beat them the first round. I know Jt was not full throttle, but they still need to take it one game at a time. Signing day is this week and that makes for a lot of distractions. JTneeds to get by Corsicana, before they start focusing on Jacksonville. JMO! Isnt Corsicana and NAC still fighting for the last playoff spot!
