Friday Night Rivals users, We are trying to determine if there would be interest in a new paid feature we are considering for next season. This new feature would allow booster clubs or school administrators to brand their own FNR app in the app store with custom skins and appearance, player rosters and photos, stats, team messages, messages from coaches, district standings, play by play data entry, etc. Team branded apps would appear under your team's name in the app store and would contain all of the features in the current Friday Night Rivals app and will also be offered via Android. In the normal Friday Night Rivals app, users will be able to see all of this team specific information for any teams that have purchased the team branded app. Are there any booster club members or school administrators who would be interested in a feature like this for your school next season?

Yes - FNR 1.1 is available now! There is a lot of good stuff in the new update that you won't want to miss. I think the Facebook avatars and push notifications for score updates are my favorite features in the new release. I like the push notifications because I can be having dinner or other obligations and get the scores to games I am interested in without having to unlock my iPhone - I just look at the score updates as my phone vibrates. If you get the push notifications, don't forget you have to turn them on at either a team level or for individual games. For those of you that have updated, do you like the new version? Is there anything you don't like?

Hi all, We've submitted a new app update, FNR v1.1, to Apple. The latest update should be in your hands in less than a week. This next update is a pretty significant update and includes a ton of new features. In addition to numerous modifications and enhancements to improve usability, we've added some other really cool stuff: Top 10 state rankings for every conference (source: Associated Press polls, updated weekly) General and team discussion forums New avatar photos that use Facebook integration to use your profile picture as your avatar in FNR. Avatars are shown with your username next to score updates, chat comments, and forum posts. New FNR Store with optional add-on for score push notifications directly to your phone. Push notifications can be switched on and off at the team level and at the event level with this add-on. Pull down refresh on many tables in the app Redesigned team views with team info, team schedule, team forums, and team settings for score push notifications Ability to add individual games to your 'My Games' view Added 100 mile radius to the Games Near Me function We will be sure to let you know when this version is available for download. Awesome! Glad you liked the app. And yes - please post games as final after they are over. This will make sure that the games show up as final as soon as they are complete.

Friday Night Rivals v1.0.1 is now available in the app store. Please update your apps to the current version! This release is mostly a support release for bug fixes and interface tweaks with a few new features. It was a great suggestion for an easy to implement feature. We like those types of features best. :) v1.0.1 contains your feature request. Friday Night Rivals is only available on the iPhone at this time.

Zero week is finally here! Can't wait for football to start. A minor update should be available this week with a few tweaks. We have also been hard at work on some new features that will take this application to the next level. :)

Hey guys! We have submitted an update to Apple to fix the minor 'My Teams' issue that you all have reported, as well as fixes for a couple of other minor issues and a few new features such as searching for games by team name. The update should be reviewed by Apple and in your hands before the first game next week. Keep your eyes peeled and be sure to download the new update as soon as it is released. Hey guys. We've put fixes in place for the My Teams list not scrolling properly down at the bottom. We are testing it now and should submit the update to Apple this week. Thanks for letting us know about it! We really appreciate the support you all have given us.

Sorry about that guys...good catch in finding the bug. We'll try to get that fixed up in the next app update.

I agree - I hope we have some good participation and sharing of information between all fans. The Smoakhouse Forums are awesome - there's a lot of great information and discussion here and we have been allowed to share this application with you all. We have had trouble getting the word out to other fans on some of the other Texas high school football forums because we aren't allowed to promote ourselves on those forums. I'm sure there are other fans that would like to share scores but we can't reach them. We would really appreciate you spreading the word if you are regulars at any other boards or anything! It will be interesting during the first game to see how many people will share scores with us.
