  1. Sorry, but I am a rational thinker......What everyone, and you too, I believe, is forgetting is that when our intelligence services came forward with the information they had about possible WMD in Iraq and the chance it would be passed on to bin Laden or some other terrorist faction, Congress as well as the President all saw the same intel. and Congress, by a majority if I remember correctly, voted to support military action against Saddam's regime......Yes no WMD's have been found, and that is a black mark against our own Intel. services, not Bush........But in the process we have uncovered the Oil for Food Scandal that included 2, possibly 3 of the permanent members of the UN security council, given the people of Iraq freedom from a tyrant, and stopped the attacks on US soil b/c of the terrorists pre-occupation with getting us out of Iraq.........So in ending I would just like to say that if Bush does have some accountability for this, then so too does EVERY member of Congress who voted for support of military action in Iraq, which includes both Democrats and Republicans alike......:ugh:
  2. Ahhh, New Zealand......or Scotland, love the topography and the wildness of the land......oh yeah, plus the peace and quiet
  3. Oh no, not at all.....red means you are mad.....It takes alot to get me mad, I just get blue in the face from arguing so much that I sometimes forget to breathe, lol...... Dubya, now that I have looked back on your original quote, I realize that I must be really sleep deprived b/c I completely overlooked the meaning of your quote......yes, in fact, I do mean red in the face, :whome:
  4. Oh no, not at all.....red means you are mad.....It takes alot to get me mad, I just get blue in the face from arguing so much that I sometimes forget to breathe, lol......
  5. It doesnt matter if YOU believed in the war. Whats important is did the son believe in it. If he did, then the mom is making a hugh mistake. If he didnt, then he should not have signed up in the first place. There is always a chance of going to war. Odds are he did, because he apparently volunteered to go into a hot zone on an operation.....would a soldier not wanting to be there volunteer to go in the first place??? jasonattsu, good to see you back...been wondering where you had been. As for Cindy Sheenan, her son was a great American...however she is a sick person for using her sons death to make a political agenda. Well hey there dubya, good to know that someone missed me, lol.......I graduated from Tarleton in May and wouldn't you know that about as soon as I graduated they canceled my off-campus dial up connection......I have been dealing with smoaky withdrawals all summer until I finally got hooked up with AOL......now life is good once again......I am ready to argue and debate until I am blue in the face......
  6. Reread my original post and you will see that I am not saying what this woman is doing is ok. I am just relaying information I have obtained through research. Some of the things you are attributing from me were taken from a paragraph from a link that I provided, written by Cindy Sheehan. I put in my original post this is a paragraph taken from an essay she wrote. Then I wrote my opinion after that paragraph. Again I am not supporting this woman in any way. I am just relaying info to give the members of this board as much information as possible before they form an opinion. Well that clears up some confusion........Please, for future reference, can you use proper quotation marks to distinguish between your statements and those of the author's you are quoting, it would make it alot easier for the rest of us to formulate our ideas and opinions....thank you......

  8. First of all, Easton, Bush didn't kill him, some extremist did........That is the main problem I have with that woman telling everyone Bush killed her son......I don't see Bush over there with an AK-47 emptying magazine after magazine and launching RPG's everywhere, do you?........Secondly, he re-enlisted under his own power, what should that tell his mother? Personally, I believe she is in the what, second stage of grief, or is it the third? You know, the anger part.....someone let me know which it is.......Third, he voluntarily went out there to fight, he was not ordered, he volunteered to go.......Now, which promises did his recruiter break? Because to me it looks like the recruiter did nothing but sign him up.....did he not receive his 20K bonus, because that would be the only thing the recruiter would have a hand in that I can see? The recruiter has no say so whether or not a soldier goes into battle, especially when that soldier volunteers to go out on an operation....... he was a soldier, and a soldier's duty is to go to war, everyone that has been a soldier knows the risks of going and of being a soldier The only thing I agree with you on was that this woman is using her son's death to her advantage.....but mark my words, this woman will fade into oblivion after a while and none of us will remember who she is or what she said or what she was trying to do.....Time has a great way of accomplishing such tasks......
  9. that's a wee bit too much info. there 5-O, lol....
  10. Alright, here's one.......grab your tongue, pull it out of your mouth, and say "I live on a pirate ship.".......(this joke has the best effect in a busy public area and when spoken loudly, especially when you get one of your idiotic friends to fall for it, lol)......:w00t:

  14. Hmmm, "big-boned" or truly fat is the question here, Rc......:ugh:
  15. And then of course there is always Tiahuanaco.........anyone wanna tackle this mystery???
  16. Scientists have investigated several sites with human footprints in rock strata that contain fossils from ages evolutionists believe are older than the emergence of man. One interesting and controversial example is the Paluxy River fossils near Glen Rose, Texas. Creationists are divided on the value of this find, the history of which goes back to its discovery after a mudslide devastated the area in 1908. Here, dinosaur footprints exist alongside what appear to be human footprints in the same strata. There are human tracks crossing dinosaur tracks, and dinosaur tracks that have blocked out human tracks in sequence. Investigators excavated some tracks out of the rock strata, and cross-sectioned them. They showed a compressed layer pattern that indicated that they were genuine, not carvings. Evolutionists who investigate the tracks insist that they are from an upright bipedal dinosaur. As the tracks have eroded over the years, they appear more dinosaur-like with age. Scientists from the Institute for Creation Research have decided to abandon using these tracks for evidence that dinosaurs were contemporary with humans, and removed references to the Paluxy prints from their literature. Remember as well, the prints were found by a creationist. You can find a short segment on this "incident" at the Paluxy in the TLC special "Mysterious Origins of Man" hosted by Charlton Heston.......The prints were not eroded away, they were destroyed by vandals.....(how convenient).......in the segment, you can see a crew using demolition machines to remove layers of limestone to get to the level of the footprints, because both sets of tracks disappeared into a limestone outcropping.......the "human" footprints, and dinosaur footprints BOTH continued under the rock ledge after the outcropping was removed.......that to me is hard evidence that CANNOT be proven false.....
  17. Hey oldie, hehehe, just to let you know, according to Paul Harvey, cancer is now the #1 killer of americans for the first time ever, with heart disease now #2.......so, lol, yes, we question the legitimacy of cancer treatments......
  18. Excellent website there Oldie.....How do you find this stuff, lol? IF what this scientist says is true, then what in the world could our common ancestor have looked like, especially with the diversity that we see on our planet today?? Wow, that's kind of mind-numbing to think about it.....
  19. So Ronin, are you saying that you do not think about, or even worry about, our origins, be they heavenly or evolutionary???? :ugh:
  20. "Aliens" exist, I don't care what anyone thinks or says otherwise.....now, as for whether or not they have/or are visiting our planet, well that belongs on an entirely different thread........The universe, as far as our scientists can tell, is infinite in size, and there are trillions of stars out there like Earth's.......so how on God's green Earth can ANYONE actually believe what they say when they say we are alone? It is insane to even think it if you ask me.....now for the next question......Are we saying "aliens" as in Predator, the Alien movies, ET, or the "gray's"??? Because I am certain that there are bacteria, viruses, microbes, amoeba's, etc., etc., that live on other planets, and there could even be other beings possibly like us, and yet possibly very different from us.......The main thing to remember is this: The universe is infinite, and over 5 billion years old by scientific estimates, so you would have to imagine over 5 billion years at least some civilizations besides us would have to exist somewhere in the mix......
  21. I agree with Five0!! But then where does one draw the line between adaptation and evolution SAPACK??? You would probably say that adapatation is "micro" in nature, and can explain SOME of our differences, but what about the huge differences that set different races apart from one another? Evolution on the other hand is "macro" in nature, and would explain/describe our broader differences both environmental and ethnic.....
  22. Alright......I say both due to several reasons.....One being the most obvious. The Bible says that God created Adam and Eve in his own image, right? Now, if we were sole believers in creationism only, and evolution was a lie, then how is it possible, IF we ALL came from Adam and Eve, that we have such a wonderful variety of people on this Earth? If creationism was the only way we came about, then shouldn't we all look almost exactly the same? ........Now for point #2......For firm believer's in God's wisdom and power, most would claim creationism only....my point here is if that is so, then are you not slapping God in the face, so to speak? To say that God was wise enough to allow adaptation but not evolution is, to me, blasphemous and idiotic.......I mean, shouldn't we give our all-powerful, all-knowledgable creator more credit than that? :ugh: .............Now for #3.......For believer's in Evolution only.......many scientists claim that even though our genetic codes are 98% similar to Chimpanzee's, our DNA structure, the Double Helix, is so complex compared to other species on Earth, it would appear, and does appear to many scientists, that our DNA was constructed.........Darwin had a good idea, and I still believe it is a great idea, but there is still the fact concerning the "Missing Link" that does not allow the Evolution theory to gain any ground.....small leaps and bounds are possible, due to genetic mutations and other phenomena we contribute to evolution/adaptation, but mankind simply jumping from one very different-looking ancestor to another very different-looking ancestor is beyond explanation. ........Now in conclusion, is it possible that we have a missing link in our evolutionary tree due to a "gentle prod" by the very hand of God???? Perhaps our creator first created us, and like a true craftsman, allowed his work to grow and flourish, to see what happens, almost like an experiment, so to speak.......And perhaps it is possible that we got a little off course, and needed some kind of divine intervention, which could explain our missing link, to put us back on track......Any taker's on this idea???
  23. I say both......I will elaborate more later, but right now its time for work.......
  24. So what do most people believe? Creationism, Theory of Evolution, both Creationism and Evolution, or maybe something else????
  25. Now that I finally watched it, I would have to include Just Married in the mix.......
