Complaining about the refs is crying! And your the one doing it. I saw the interview with your coach and he has a different outlook than you. We are not crying! We got beat by the better team. Move on!

You don’t need any! Doesn’t matter! Newton is on a different level.

Carthage is the clear cut favorite as they will be in every game no matter who they play. I say this is the most dangerous game that they will have.

Despite having great teams in the past, Celina has been the most overrated team in the history of high school football.

The Newton coach admitted it. That’s what counts.

I don’t doubt that but the coaches don’t put the pads on.

I admit we had one play that he turned and did dramatize and took a bump in the back and got the call. BUT, the others were legit. Remember we had a 7 man crew tonight and bad habits get caught more. Newton got away with some calls too so it went both ways. The same player had 2 calls himself and your coach chewed him out the second time so he knew what was up.

Sorry Waskom! You don’t have the personnel to compete at this level. Newton will have an advantage head to head at every position. They are big, strong, and fast. Newton is at a different level with talent. No so much with discipline though. I wouldn’t be surprised if they hold you to negative offensive yards. Unless you spread the field and get the passing game going they will be two steps ahead of you. JMO

You are a disgrace to yourself and fellow Newton fans. You need to read your post again fella! Blaming other people for what you are doing. Hating your QB, blaming your offense and accusing others! Wow go get a real job dude! Newton has a great group of athletes and ran into a team that caused things to go different than other games. Our kids worked just as hard as yours to get here and has had a lot of success just as you guys have had. The only difference is, your team is better. Now go find you another bandwagon to get on and quit insulting your team for not doing as well tonight as you have against others. We’re proud of our team and have nothing to be ashamed of. We got beat by the better team! I could be like you and insult my team and say our defense played bad tonight and our offense was horrible but I’m smarter than that. I give credit where credit is due. Newton Eagles! WR raiders did what no one has done to your team this year. Make stops and force many punts and keep the score down. I think our D did a good job after seeing the players y’all have. And your D was way too overwhelming for our offense so no hate hear. Good Luck from here on out.

This has more to do with the leadership (coaches) than the other. It’s always been a rival dating back to my knowledge the early 80s. There have been fights in the past, but as everyone grows old the friendships go on. The hate was primarily all about the game itself but not about friendships in general. I know I have many friends that competed against me during our time and we still whip it up when this time arrives every year but it’s all good. Lots of respect for both schools. Most of us are closet fans for the other too as long as our alma mater is not involved.

I’m just proud Henderson got back to the regional championship. I think this is the 5th time this decade out of 7 years. I know it’s not what Carthage has done but most teams would love to be able to say that. I know before Surratt arrived that would be an honor for them to say. Then again, no one else in the state has achieved what Carthage has in recent history.

The refs called the game decent. Unsportsmanlike penalties were real! The blocks in the backs were real. They missed a few here and there and yes WR did give Newton fits all night. How many times did they punt? More than they have all year. Good defense will make an offense look bad. Newton has more athletes and it showed tonight. WR could not get anything going on offense and I give credit to Newton’s defense! Newton never blew the game open and WR defense gets credit for that! Let’s quit blaming it on everything else because tonight there was a very good ballgame played by 2 good teams. I’m proud of our boys for the way we played tonight.

The block in the backs were real! Real stupid. Same kid twice and I saw the coach ripping him. We had a seven man crew tonight so those penalties are seen easily. Not that the crew was great but the offensive lines were called on holding a lot. Gotta clean up the stupid mistakes though and Newton will be fine. Waskom will not have an answer! Not big, fast or physical enough for this bunch. Newton’s defense is better than they were a few years ago when they went to the ship against Waskom and Waskom is no where near what they were without Amie.

I was driving through San Augustine yesterday and saw a whole flock of crows headed south. They should be to Newton by now. You guys have fun with that buffet your about to be served. lol

What you saw was 2 backups in and another that had shifted to FS. If that’s what your gauging it on, you’re very uninformed..

My bad! I think you are right. He did kick in a few games last year though.
