  1. What, the coaches only said “ rear end “ once? What kind of coaching is this? Don’t they know the camera is running? Haven’t they seen Last Chance U?
  2. To me grass when dry is better and safer. I've taught biology for over 3 decades, hate physics and such, but stress on the extremeties is better on grass cause the ground absorbs more force than turf field. New turf is better than old school AstroTurf, but grass is good, at least that's what they say in Oregon and Colorado!
  3. All I am saying is search espn (not a big fan cause of their politics pushing) but the study showed incredible rates of cancer among keepers who are always rolling on the turf- don't shoot the message or messenger, when you think of that rubber on millions of fields. Can you imagine if it is true-----again we want a quick fix to things that bother us, wet fields, and we have billions of oltires that will never recycle. Think about it.
  4. As a player grass, as a coach grass, but when it's wet turf, we ll want turf. Didn't see the report yet but turf is costly and there is also the health issue that is not publicized that much. Little pieces of tires, rubber are very carcinogens. There was a little reported phenomenon of goalkeepers teenage girls acquiring leukemia at an alarming rate on ESPN, that of course was denied by the turf company. They are on the ground so much some particles were inhaled as said their lawyers-- could be something in that nothing burger
  5. Morning men, just want to hear opinions on Diboll this year. I have had the pleasure of selling ads to complete their football program. I've met the staff, community and team and have been impressed after watching Tuesday and Wednesday practice. Very good athletes, coaches had excellent practice system and routine, discipline was a 9, facilities a 7, community seemed supportive. What y'all think?? Franklin is predicted winner according to DCTF. Franklin is good, from my neck of the woods near my Marlin home, but are they beatable ?
  6. Morning central Texas football, just a relief to have no rain. This is joe Berezoski, former Marlin bulldog that had a little success in the late 70s due to Kent Bachtel, Gordon Wood, and Gods grace. I have coached in the Houston area since 84 at clear lake, Crosby, Aldine Eisenhower, Baytown Sterling and now Laporte. Our game against state ranked atascocita was cancelled due to this Harvey irritant. It also claimed the life of Reuben Jordan, clear creek coach of over 3 decades, great man. Just wanted to hear some good high school football talk now that I can quit watching the weather radar and putting sandbags around my elevated house which is 1/2 mile from cedar bayou between Crosby and Baytown. The water in the driveway is between 3-4 ft deep. The road has 6 ft and ditches 8-10. It is slowly draining now and none in the house thanks to country boy, Marlin bulldog, ingenuity. And Gods grace, lets don't get it twisted. Amazing how through this we kept our electricity and wifi even though we lost it in many other disturbances. Fixing to get in my Ocean kayak Malibu 2bought used in 97 and still going strong catching reds, specs, flounder, crappie, bass and for the past two days humans. I landed one a little over 2 bills but catch and release for the other humans and one juvenile. H-town, Texas and cajuns are the model for our country
  7. sorry, I am showing my technology precision (or lack of), I meant the DC at Corsicana is who we have heard in Houston as being the front runner. Any one else know of any applicants getting an interview, I did not get one and know the town well. Just wishing the cougars the best of luck.
  8. Heard this coach may be the early choice at Crosby here in Southeast Texas?? Any one know of any other coaches getting interviews??
