here is hoping they keep this one local this time and hire one of the coordinators....1 year coaching stint until a bigger job comes along is bad for the program...need some continuity and someone that wants to homestead in LO

yea, area meets are this week....our district 13-3A and 14-3A run tomorrow....one reason i was wanting to see the district results...trying to put together a region picture for a few distance events

I bragged on you guys. No reason to suggest I might be lying about seeing NbPlay. No excuses means no excuses, Edgewood played you once without two starters, you didn't have a problem trash talkin them. Take your medicine, you lost. Some will have sympathy for your team but not for you
we were evidently typing responses at same time and i didnt see your post where you said u actually saw NB play...i wasnt implying u were lying, just asking if you had seen them...in answer to your earlier post we lose 3 senior starters but we return our 2 big men and point guard and we had pretty strong JV...i think we will be strong team again next year

yea, you got it right 111...dont know if you had actually seen NB play or just good guess...i know i said no excuses earlier but it didn't help that we lost our leading scorer early in first qtr...they played really good defense and scoring was definitely difficult for us last night

Yea, the boys played their hearts out tonight but come up short. It's been a great ride and I'm kinda bummed right now. NB was definitely a stronger team than I thought. Not sure they are going to fair as well against Ponder, will see. We had an off night....but they earned the win, no excuses....I'm out....see you on the Track thread

No offense, but tonight is the end of Lone Oaks run. I'll admit if im wrong. Great season but its baseball time in Lone Oak. You went longer than anyone else.

Haha...always gonna be haters...Ballsforlife must not have liked my prediction...thanks for the support though...yea I would have liked nothing better than to play EW in Regional finals and go 3 for 3, but not meant to be...LO will make the district proud tonight!Wow! What's the reason for this? LOBF has been nothing but cordial to everybody on here. He just asks questions and makes his statements. Their team is still playing and represent our district. I am just upset we do not get a chance on playing them again.

This thread can't die yet!....Lone Oak still alive and representing district 14-2A...whats the scouting report on New Boston? anybody see them play? If you have seen both Lone Oak & New Boston play, whats your prediction for Tuesday night? I will go with the LO defense to beat NB and make it to the next round & regional tourney!

CH cut it to 7 on a couple occassions but that was as close as they'd get. Lone Oak wins 47-34.

ROL took out Clville last year in the quarterfinals, so a possible repeat is there, however If LO squeaks by they could run into their own wasp nests. All 3 of those charter schools are extremely well coached, winning attitudes with skills,and a 100 percent all out hustle . I wouldnt be crowing just yet.
yea, if we win Friday we would run into Faith Family Academy/New Boston winner, which i would assume would be FFA....haven't seen them nor have any info on them...ROL and LOC at least play some of the same teams that we do but looks like FFA played a lot of private schools, etc in their non district schedule so not much for comparison purposes...i believe LO can compete with anyone in 2A, so not afraid of the matchup

Lone Oak plays MP Chapel Hill at 6:00 pm this Friday evening in Lindale...double header with Clarksville playing Red Oak Life in the 2nd game....any predictions? I already posted on the 15-2A thread that i predict an 0-2 night for district 15-2A on Friday. thoughts?

I wish u guys the best against ROL but I'm predicting 15-2A goes 0-2 on Friday night. ROL is good and based on your performance against Redwater u guys don't appear to be hitting on all cylinders...maybe Clarksbille just wasn't up for a 4 seed or something...what do u guys think? Predictions?

well the Life Oak Cliff girls team tore LO a new one last week in bi-district round (thats what u get for finishing 4th)....i hope that Alba can turn that around tonight and beat them but i have my doubts...LOC was really talented
on charter schools, i agree its not fair and i thought the rules were changing so that they would be forced to play in higher classifications. (based on classification of other schools in location of their school)...looks to be the case with El Paso Harmony which moved up to 6A (or 5A...cant remember) but the schools in district 13 didn't move up which seems wrong...i saw where there is a waiver process by which they can lobby not to get moved up...wonder if thats what happened??
