    1 - Joe Torre could not have made that team competitive on a yearly basis 2 - Coach W did as good as job as anyone could have with what he had to work with 3 - I would have probably threw more than a bat if I would have been baited like this. 4 - Coach W will do just fine at Spring Hill. He is a very sound coach.

    Someone told me the guy coaching Pewit was going to get the job. If true, Spring Hill is getting an excellent coach who will not allow kids to misbehave and act like prima donna's. They will not play for him. I have had numerous dealings with this guy and he is spot on not only as a coach but as a person. Not to slam the kids from Omaha, but he coached with the talent he had.

    Queen City is a well coached good team. I noticed in the beginning of the year they "played up" and held there own against 3-A teams including PG. What I think hurt them this year was their district was a little down and did not present them with enough challenges. Not a knock on the other teams but just a fact that this was not a good year for that district. Next year will probably be a little different. This year there was a HUGE seperation between Queen City and Hooks and Chapel Hill (2nd and 3rd) this year. Coach Turner does a great job of motivating these kids and they play hard for him.

    The wings of the Hawks will be clipped. I have seen both of these teams play this year a few times. Hopefully PG does not go and make five errors in an inning this time. Waco by 4. I like the style of both teams but Waco is just better.

    I have no idea if this is true or not but it was told to me by a person that has a kid going to Springhill. He told me that Coach Hector kicked four kids off of the team for some pretty bad behavior and the AD made him reinstate them. Again, I do not know if this is true but if it is, I do not blame him for leaving.

    Coach Hector is a class act. Probably got tired of either politics or crybabies.I know he has a son around 8 or nine, just guessing who is a pretty good ball player. I bet he wants to coach him some day.
