The problem with nacogdoches is the AD. He has no clue how to be an AD. He does not support the coaches and has not made a good hire since he became the AD. All the sports except for swimming and football has gone down hill since he became AD.

But I am sure there was other qualified coaches to choose from. Looks like this guy got the job because he knew coach mays. You cant look over qualified coaches to hire a guy that went 3-54 overall and 0-28 in district the last 2 seasons. I agree I would love to know who all aplied

If you only win 3 games in 2 years it shouldnt matter who you know. Who you know should only get you an assistant job or a freshmen job not a head coaching job at the 4A level. Nacogdoches isd should be ashame and the community should be upset. What are you telling the athletes and community when you hire a guy like this.

The new coach at katy will win more games next season than Okruhlik won the last two seasons..Okruhlik will do better this year than he did last year because all he has to do is win two games and he will double the amount of win he had last season. I just wonder how can you justify hiring a coach at the 4A level who was 3-54 and 0-28 in two years. How can you hold all the other coaches accountable when you hire a coach who has only won THREE games in TWO years. 0-28 in district

The coach at Katy will do alot better at Katy. I dont care how good the football team is there is enough kids at katy to win more than 3 games in two years and go 0-28 in district. He will win more games in nac for now he only has to win 2 games this year to do better.

I am very sure thats his record. Go to the houston chronicle and check it out for yourself. He was fired from Katy High as soon as the season was over.
