Its gameday. Sorry been busy with work. Just now getting to post this. Mount Pleasant travels to Frisco to take on the Emerson Mavericks. It is their first season but so far has been a successful one. They have started 3-0. Mount Pleasant on the other hand has struggled this season. Their defense is playing well enought to win and their offense can move the ball at times but they tend to stall out and have to either punt or turn it over on downs. Their special teams has been the biggest problem. They are giving up great field position due to snaps over the head of the punter or dropped snaps by the punter. If they could get that under control, they could win a few games. I look for them to go for it more this week on 4th down unless they are deep in their own end of the field. Anywhere close to the 50, they might go for it.

Prayers from Michigan. I know people in MP are praying as well. Keep at it Cooper, you can beat this.

This 100%. I told my nephew last week that that was the omly game i was disappointed in bc it was won. They just needed to finish it off. But it is what it is.

I dont think anyone would be surprised by a SS win against MP. I expect it to be a shootout. MP has better talent than the last few years. They also have more depth than past years. I think the offensive output will depend on which QB plays for MP.

Just watched to Jax/SS game on youtube. It looked as though SS starting qb got injured as well but came back to finish the game. His injury looked like his back. It also looked as though SS had trouble with Jax's offense and defense. They moved the ball some but it was mostly on the ground. Jax was able to move the ball well but then stuttered to a stop. So the SS defense really gets strong closer to the goal line. They really had trouble stopping the pass. Jax only td came from a 48 bomb. This is really shaping up to be a real good contest on paper. P.S. MP's qb did have a concussion. He is expected to start in the game on Friday which will push the game in MP's favor.

As far as i know yes he will be. I will get more clarification as it gets closer. I think he got a concussion but im not totally sure.

Battle of I-30 rivals and former longtime district mates going back to the 80s. These 2 teams have played many close and hard fought games. I expect this one to be no different. They both come in 1-0. SS beat a lackluster Jacksonville team while MP withstood a possible Pittsburg comeback. MP caused 6 turnovers and had 2 themselves. What kept Pittsburg in the game was an injury to the qb of MP and penalties. The coaches will be working on that this week for sure. Who wins in this installment of this rivalry?

They didnt struggle. Starting QB got hurt in the 3rd qtr while they were driving. Penalties and turnovers also made it a lot closer than it should have been. Other than 2 or 3 plays they stopped Pittsburg's run attack. We will see how they do against a heavy pass attack with Sulphur Springs this coming Friday.

My nephew said they have been talking a lot of trash. Lets see if they can walk the walk cause we know they can talk the talk.

That was what I counted for Meet the Tigers. But it was a video that was sent to me. But if what my nephew says is true, they have 50 on the team. That would biggest turn out for football since 2011. That means a lot of depth and he says they have a lot of talent. I am in MP for this week to watch him against Pitt. My first Tiger game in person since 2017. GO TIGERS!!!
