We struggled early against the pass as we were breaking in 2 sophomores on the back end. They have settled in nicely after the growing pains and the secondary is playing pretty solid. We do have 14 ints on the year, so I would be a little wary about throwing too much on us.

JJ I'm pulling for y'all, but we just looked at the scores and the only way that Arp can get in is for Quitman to beat Winona. If both of you win, then yall have a 4-3 district record. If the records are tied then it comes down to head to head and with Winona winning they hold that tie breaker.

Arp has to win by 17 or Winona is in because of head to head.

When our 2 and 3 seeds win their 1st round playoff game, they will get Newton and Waskom, respectively.

The 2 and 3 seed from our district are on Newton/Waskom side of the bracket. 1 and 4 seed in our district have a better road.

Y’all’s kids played hard JJ. You can tell those guys are young and Coach Irwin and crew will get them going in the right direction, no doubt. I’m looking forward to the next few years competing against y’all. It was fun watching 2 class programs play a game hard and no trash talking or stupid stuff, just playing the game. That says a lot about both programs.

Headhunter, tell those young guys to keep working, it'll definitely get better. Coach Irwin is a good coach and will get those guys going. Thank you for the compliment about our kids and program. Look forward to the next few years competing against the Arp Tigers.

What’s with the hostility? It’s not like we were running up the score. All I can say is that it will be some battles the next few years. We also have a lot coming back plus help from our JV that is pretty good also.

I’m definitely calling BS on this. I know for a fact in 04 against East Chambers, Pendland and Etheridge played the whole game. The final was 14-7 Newton in Winnie. I know because I was coaching at East Chambers.

As do y’all man. It’s amazing when the kids buy into the program and invest in it. When all the coaches coach every level it is really an advantage. They get the same coaching from 7th grade until they graduate.

JJ the JV game was really good between 2 good teams. Going to be some good battles the next few years.

The upset of the year was last week when Sabine beat West Rusk. I doubt there would be any other upsets as big as that one.

I know when we played them it was probably the last week for them because grades had come out and they had lost some to grades and injuries. Numbers are really down at Winona.

WR always seems to get a lot of kids from Henderson.
