  1. Stopping the ####-T or Wing-T is as simply as looking back old film of Paul Pewitt vs Elysian Fields in 2006 second round playoff game. Nobody thought EF was going to win that game but once PP fell behind & realized they couldn't move the ball with running game it PP resorted to passing attack which was comical. For a moment I thought I was watching a 7th grade B Team offense. But seriously the post about cutting HS guards in last years EF game is correct way but in 06' EF just cut the entire line down.
  2. Great season Elysian Fields! You guys should be very proud of yourselves and keep your heads up. You guys believed in each other when nobody else did. The memories of this season will last a lifetime. It's awesome to see a team come together like y'all have this season.
  3. Yeah it's a lot more fun when the zebras got ur back. I've seen holding on every play this game by both offenses but its only getting called when EF makes a play.
  4. Damn! East Benard 38 - EF 0. I'm not making any excuses for the Jackets but it seems like some of these penalty calls are coming every time EF makes a play. There's holding on every single play in football but its not normally called unless it directly affects the play. Keep on fighting Jackets! Remember how EF spells WIN, H-I-T!! This group of seniors never quits no matter what happens. It might to much of a deficit to comeback from but it starts with defense. I remember the 2007 state championship game EF trailed 33-13 at half but didn't quit and came out in second half scoring two unanswered td's in third qtr one on defense making the score 33-25 with 3:00 minutes left in third. In the fourth qtr EF had a chance to tie the game by driving inside Canadians 15 yard line but turned the ball over near the endzone late in the fourth. The final was 40-25. Coming into this game the jackets had allowed a total of 94 points in the 60 quarters they had played all year. In the second quarter of this game they gave up more than 1/3 of the points that they gave up all year.
  5. Is this game on radio? If so what station
  6. Centerville- 70 Mildred- 22 I think it is only loss Mildred has this year. Excuse me not loss but beating! Lol
  7. Hearne and New Waverly meet for second time this season Friday night in Bi-District playoffs. Hearne won first meeting 26-8 in week three of season. New Waverly was down 12-0 at the half and 20-0 within a few minutes of second half. New Waverly finally gots on the scoreboard midway through fourth quarter making the score 20-8 with six minutes left in game. Hearne added last touchdown on trick play with three minutes left in game making the score 26-8. Here's a link article in The Huntville Item following first game between Hearne and New Waverly http://itemonline.com/sports/x1052799294/NEW-WAVERLY-FOOTBALL-Dogs-fall-flat-lose-to-rival-Hearne?mobRedir=false
  8. I think Centerville is going to be Region III Champs and be the Team that beats defending state champs Refugio in semi finals and play for the 2A division II State Championship. Best of luck to Centerville and enjoy every second of playoffs. A chance for perfect season is a great accomplishment
  9. New Waverly is playing Hearne and Corrigan-Camden is playing Crawford Hearne beat New Waverly 26-8 in non-district earlier this season. I don't know much about either team but that could be indication for game. 18 points isn't a close game but all I know is the score. Im sure folks from Hearne and New Waverly along with coaches and players remember playing and already know how first game went and if the 26-8 score will be more or less this time around. I know it's tough beating someone twice and it's probably twice as tough if the team (New Waverly)only lost one other game in season.
