  1. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Enjoy this day with family and reflect on the many blessings in your life, eat way too much and make sure to watch a little football to hold you over till tomorrow night!
  2. Nope didn't wipe us out. We're still here. Lol
  3. I understand last year was the first year for Argyle's QB under center. Last year was the first year for Gilmer QB Tanner Barr (as a junior) under center as well. His sophomore year he was an All-State Safety with 10 interceptions. I'm sure both QB's have grown and matured since last year, which is another reason this game should be a fun one to watch. Only 2 days away!
  4. Is Argyle's Defense a lot better than last years? If so why?
  5. Sorry I've been under the weather and trying to find something to entertain me. Figured might as well try to get this thread livened up. I'm so ready for this game Friday!
  6. This thread is dead right now. Lets talk some football people!!!!!!!
  7. Here are a few stats: Combined Opponents Record Argyle 72-62 Gilmer 71-62 Regular Season Opponents that made the playoffs Argyle- 9 Gilmer- 6 Regular Season Opponents still in the playoffs Argyle- 2 Gilmer- 5 Points For/Points Against Argyle- 650 / 130 Gilmer- 671 / 182 Points Per Game/Points Against Per Game Argyle- 54.2 / 10.8 Gilmer- 55.9 / 15.2 Combined Playoff Score Argyle- 112 / 39 Gilmer- 100 / 0
  8. For the one's saying that Argyle is going to hold Gilmer to 14 points, I'm sorry but that's not a wise comment! No I haven't seen Argyle play this year but even if the 2 linebackers were in there I don't see them holding Gilmer to 14 points. Gilmer put up nearly 30 points on a Kilgore team that supposedly has one of, if not the best defense in all of 3A in the state. That's by far the worst game we played and everything that could go wrong, did go wrong and we still put up 445 yards and 29 points even with 5 turnovers. Our next lowest scoring output was last week against Pittsburg where we scored 48. If Argyle stops our offense then I will be thoroughly impressed. As far as Argyle goes though, It looks like your offense revolves around Ralston and Sadler. From stats, I'm gathering that Argyle is more run heavy this year. Am I wrong?
  9. It's a beautiful stadium! It might be a little tight if Gilmer had to sit on the visitor side. Lol. The parking is not too awesome though. There were people parking all the way over at Lear Park!
  10. The Gilmer and Liberty Hill game was cold, but earlier in those same playoffs in 07 the Gilmer and Mabank game down at SFA was worse in my mind. It had been raining and the field was soaked so bad water would fly up every time someone landed on it, it was in the high 30's and the wind was blowing about 25mph! It was miserable!
  11. Gilmer was in the 60's at halftime (cant remember exact halftime score), but I do remember the final was 76-0.
  12. Well the enrollment numbers for 2012-13 here on smoaky are off then. My fault
  13. Chapel Hill should take care of business. CH 49-21.
  14. There are 5 teams in that district with 4 playoff spots so top two teams enrollment wise will go D1 and Graham is the 2nd largest school in the district behind Burkburnett. Even if Burkburnett wins Graham will still go D1.
  15. Crunched a few numbers. Gilmer D2 Argyle D1 Kilgore D1 Graham D1 Stephenville D1 Fairfield D2 Carthage D1 Celina D2 Port Isabel D2 Navasota D1
