Here is a good one for ya!! The staging clerk and the meet director had not spoken before the meet and the staging clerk was trying to give ALL relays their hip numbers before the meet and take up relay cards before the meet started. So a kid on three relays was going to carry around three numbers all night. Then a student corrected him and he started taking the numbers back and giving cards back out. I thought the Kennadale coach was going to flip out> :happy65:

Be careful about what you say coming from GS. I ve seen many a kid show his true colors from GS over the years. Coaches too.... :thumbdown:

Daingerfield came to the Bobby Bernard relays- behaved and competed well. Seemed to have some good athletes that ran hard. Won several relays including mile relay.

REL, Longview, JT are not comparable with Tatum, Gilmer, Gladewater--pure enrollment numbers put that out of wack. But I will discuss the other 2. Gilmer had 8 D1s on signing day in Football, I believe Tatum had 5 D1s on signing day in Football. Gladewater had 1. Im not sure I understand your point. None of these schools won a State Championship this year. You are the one comparing scholarships with championships. I dont think you understand the state of Texas football 2008. If a school and community is not dedicated to WINNING you are gonna get left behind. Take a drive to Tatum and Gilmer and look at the important things in making a program attactive. Next fall come to the track and turn around at 7:31pm and look up in the bleachers and see what our kids are seeing. Come down on the football field at 6:40pm in Gilmer on Oct 31st and see what our kids look at while they are warming up---million dollar weightroom -football facility, music blaring, stands packed-booing us, TV station interviewing. I guess my point is your are exactly what is wrong in Gladewater right now- come on a public forum and ask when are we gonna start doing something and never get up. I can promise you this-- there are 10 coaches at GHS that know how to WIN and how to create a successful all around program but is Gladewater ready for that- if you are ---check your ego at the door and lets all pound the rock TOGETHER. 24/7 There can only be 1 Champion and the PRICE is high. :thumbsup:

How many Football Scholarships did Alto, Canadian, Farmersville, Liberty Hill, Celina have on signing day this year? The first question every recruiter ask that walk through the doors at GHS are "is he passing all his classes and did he pass his TAKS test? Im a Coach at gladewater and I get your kid 2 hours a day what are you doing with the other 22??

Im a parent of a Junior High kid at Thrall and I want to have a meeting with Coach Fortner. My Boy has been spendin way too much on the sideline and I want to know what he is gonna do about it???
