  1. But his dad and other relatives played for Texas and he was NOT recruited by Texas. He must stay on the field to continue to prove that he should have been recruited by Texas.
  2. To whoever pooped on this opinion: Everyone else can do alternative uniforms except Texas.
  3. It is truly a clown show every time. I get confused trying to follow the bouncing ball with both of them.
  4. Look for me on the Texas side in the corner of the end zone (Utah labeled) in the pie section on row 13. I am wearing glasses and have a black UT hoodie on
  5. Define the top 64 teams. Would it always be the same? Or would teams move in and out? What criteria? Would it be like Euro soccer?
  6. This is why I do not follow recruiting except at a macro-level. I am 53 years old and I do not have the time nor patience to try to figure out what is inside the head of a teenager. Some will make it. Some won’t despite their talents for a variety of reasons.
  7. ^^^^ That reads funny on so many levels. Georgia has the "Hot Lips" Houlihan cheerleaders while A&M has George, the Yell Leader.
  8. I don’t have a problem with them getting free tickets. However, I would put a stipulation that they cannot sell them and that if they are not going to the game then they cannot give them away either. I would actually require a roll-call at the game to ensure that the seats were being used properly.
  9. A 3 star but will be bumped to a 4, maybe a 5 star, now that He has committed to Texas.
  10. Correct me if I am wrong. As a coach at a Texas public university wouldn't Turner benefit financially by taking this job in order to boost his retirement income? I would assume that coaching at a D1 school would certainly pay more than as an assistant at a Texas high school? If so, provided that he is even an option, I would take the job and defer retirement a couple of years to make some extra cash with long-term benefits.
  11. If so he will have another Braun to coach. Parker Braun’s “little brother”, Joshua, committed to Georgia. He is a 4-star recruit and is listed at 6-6 and around 330. All of the previous Braun’s played at Georgia Tech. Was hoping that Parker’s experience at Texas would land his brother. This hope was of course at the beginning of the season.
  12. With the potential guys sitting for OSU the only way that A&M loses this game is if they did not want to be there.
  13. I have very little hope for the Horns in this game. However, I will be there to cheer my Horns on. Going to the Alamo Bowl game is an annual event. Finally a team that I actually care about will be in it. This will be my third UT game this year and none of them were in Austin. I do need Texas to win in order for me to have a winning record. WV was a win. TCU was a loss. Hoping for a win against the Utes.
  14. I don’t get the “whole month” to prepare argument that I have heard on this site before. Don’t both teams have that opportunity? What makes it more favorable for one team over another?
  15. November 1, 2004. It is hard to believe that it has been 15 years! Primarily started out posting in the High School section but now that the kids are grown and out of the house I pretty much limit it to College Football with the occasional foray into other forums.
  16. Buddy Ryan and Mike Ditka were not the best of friends either!
  17. What kind of response is that? It is just dumb. Do you even know what you are talking about?
  18. Another classic closing sentence from WETSU when in disagreement. News flash: upsets not allowed on road games
  19. So, Texas had a 1 in 10 chance to beat Georgia and they did. A&M had 4 chances this year to rise to the occasion and knock off a team that they had no business beating. They did not. Texas probably would not either but they did it when they had an opportunity. They at least played LSU and OU close this year too.
