i agree. i could care less what any of the T.O. critics say about him. maybe he broke a league rule but at least it wasn't substance abuse or something worse. anyway i loved it. the Eagle fans were really letting him have it when the game started and he was just getting his payback. when will people stop being so ignorant and realize T.O. thrives off of people hating him. you could read his lips when he said i love it and he did.

actually i was a little disappointed SH didn't score a little more last year than they did. the time they played Gilmer the toughest was 3 yrs. ago in the playoffs. other than Jasper i think SH gave them the toughest time. i think the score was 28-9 or something like that. had we been able to connect on a long pass or 2 the score could have been closer. i remember Shankle getting behind the defense a few times and the pass was overthrown.

well i think SH had 2 turnovers in the 1st half. the 2nd one came just before the half ended so it wasn't a factor. Sabine also had a turnover in the 1st half which gave us a short field and we scored. they played great defense the 1st half but i also thought had we stuck to running the ball they wouldn't have stopped us. we tried passing to much in the 1st half and weren't having any luck. in the 2nd half things turned completely around. they weren't able to move the ball and we were. our coaches made great adjustments at halftime. i also think our kids woke up in the 2nd half.

i've seen both of these teams only once this year and it was against SH. so obviously to us Sabine looks to be the better team but this game could go either way. as for GW they have athletes but for some reason they don't perform. if they do they will win the game. for Sabine if they can mix up their plays and prevent the melt down qtr. as some say they will win. one thing i noticed about Sabine especially in the 2nd half is that they tried to throw the long ball way to many times. i realized the QB was pressured but they could have thrown some screens or something else instead of throwing it up for grabs. anyway i think this could be a very good game. turnovers will decide it.

SH did not play their 3rd string. Sabine simply outplayed them in the 1st half.

i'm glad to hear you and your buddies not trash Sabine because they deserve all the credit in the world how hard they played. you said they were out coached. maybe so in the 2nd half but we were out coached in the 1st half. that what it all came down to which coaches could make the right adjustments and the SH coaches did in the 2nd half. we took away those plays that worked well for them in the 1st half and caused them to make mistakes. anyway once again congrats to SH and i wish Sabine the best of luck the rest of the year.

i agree. their coach needs to work on trying to get more kids out. i think they only had 24 players and i'm sure they wear down before games end. anyway like i said earlier if they can play hard for 4 qtrs. and minimize mistakes they can beat Gladewater and WO.

yeah it was definately a tale of 2 halves. my hat's off to Sabine. if they can maintain their intensity for 4 qtrs. they can beat WO and Gladewater. they are definately the best team we faced so far in the district. of course we have Gilmer next week though. i thought SH came out a little flat like we were against WO but went in at halftime and made the proper adjustments. i enjoy playing Sabine. it's a school with good sportsmanship not only on the field but off. i liked it when the 2 bands got together and played. congrats to SH and good luck to Sabine the rest of the way

hey i couldn't find the old one so i started this one.

that is not true. we knew you had speed because we had film on ya'll. it's possible some students said ya'll didn't but some just like to run their mouths. we also knew ya'll would score on some big runs but we hoped we could minimize them and score enough to win but it didn't happen.

all i know is if you make the playoffs you assume you could get beat in any game. if you start looking ahead and predicting a qtr. final or even a state championship your team will be watching those games the same place you will. no matter how good you think you are there is probably someone better.

i think it will be somewhere in between don't bring up the SH-GW game either

the young fans you are talking about is students. as they say kids will be kids. their post is what i'm saying you need to not let bother you. you were a kid once and i'm sure you said and did some things that hurt someones feelings or offended them. they are still young and haven't figured out yet how to express things. it's their way of trash talking it's not just SH students that talk like that. wait until the WO students start posting. i'm sure my post to you have offended you and i apologize. when you jumped me Fri. night about asking Bear Den what he thought about SH now i honestly didn't mean it in an arrogant way. just poking a little fun at him because i thought it was funny he made that statement based on one performance against WO. i was just curious if his opinion of them had changed. i read one of his post saying where it hasn't but that's fine with me but i know those students will or have let him have it and he deserves it. myself i would've never posted something like that before the game was played but if i had my opinion would've definately changed whether i wanted to admit it or not. also when i posted saying GW was worse than i thought i didn't mean that in a demeaning way either. i honestly expected a war last Fr. night and it was anything but that. i guess i was shocked at how the game went. i thought SH would win but not in that way. i expect us to beat Sabine this Fri. but not 63-13 but we'll just wait and see. we play Gilmer after that and i like everyone else expects Gilmer to win but i don't think it will be by 50 but it could. maybe even more. who knows. i understand standing up for your team even if it's against students but don't lose sleep over it. i will also stand up for SH.
