  2. Fantastic come from behind win by Longview over Melissa.

Down 5 with under a minute to go, easily could've just let the game and season end. But they fought tooth and nail to score the game's final 6 points and knock off the Cards, 47-46.

Off to face Crandall in the Regional Quarters. Longview knocked off Crandall, 48-40, last year in the Area Round.

  3. Lady Lobos advance to the Regional Quarters for the first time since 2010, knocking off district champion Red Oak, 53-45. Fantastic win for our ladies. Longview now will take on McKinney North, who knocked us our last season.

Lobo soccer knocked off Mount Pleasant in MP, 2-1, last night to become the lone undefeated team in the district.

Lady Lobos host Mount Pleasant today at Lobo Stadium, looking to finish out the first round undefeated as well.

Lobo basketball takes on New Caney Porter in bi-district play on Tuesday.

The district is weak it helps for a strong playoff run but who says they lose all three ? They have a 50-50 chance against Longview

I find it interesting you say they have a 50-50 chance lol. A program we've never lost to, have dominated in every single game we've ever played against them minus 1 back in the 60s and they'll be at our house...where we've lost just once in the last 7 seasons.

No doubt they're better than they were on their last trip Lobo in 2017, but they're still be significant underdogs.

    Joshua

    District:

    Crandall

    Ennis

    Kaufman

    Mesquite Poteet

    Midlothian Heritage

Hope you're doing well! Still find myself checking in on Greenville just because of you!

Lee won't be making the playoffs. I don't know if they will win 1 game in district. If they do, it would be Royce City.

I expect Forney will take a small step back, though they bring back their good back.

No idea what North Forney has.

Have to imagine, Longview/Rockwall/Heath/Forney are the top 4 early on. Will be a fun battle between those 4.

I know nothing about Royse City other than they had a hot start with a weaker non-district last season before flaming out. And that our band will practically fill up their entire away side.

  7. Scrimmage - Texas High (at Longview)
    Week 1 - Lufkin
    Week 2 - Marshall
Week 3 - South Oak Cliff
    Week 4 - Ruston
    Week 5 - Off
    Week 6 - vs Rockwall
    Week 7 - at Forney
Week 8 - vs Tyler Legacy
Week 9 - at Rockwall Heath
Week 10 - vs North Forney
Week 11 - at Royse City

  8. Districts broken down by enrollment in R2: https://www.6atexasfootball.com/forum/main-forum/team-threads/77-official-longview-lobo-thread-home-of-lobo-nation?p=804793#post804793

First round aside, anything past 2 is going to be difficult.

DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Spring Westfield all locks in D2.

    Collins could fall in.

Would imagine CH or LT waiting there in round 2, then Westfield in round 3, then DeSoto in round 4 just to get to the Semis.

KYKX did this for a while. Not double headers but Saturdays at Lobo. Coaches don't like losing home games and revenue that these big games bring in. That's why it has kind of fallen off. Even the battle of the border at the I Bowl has fallen off. I don't even think they do it anymore.

They did it last year, just no Texas teams.

That would've been a game for the ages! Is Longview scared or are they trying to keep the same ol' non-district schedule they've had since the beginning of time?

    Stagnant. Complacent.

Whatever word you want to use, pretty much is what it is in King land right now.

No idea if the above is true. I haven't heard anything of the sort. But wouldn't be shocked.

Early on in King's days, we all know he was reaching out to numerous teams..Southlake/Lake Travis etc and was being turned down. Would not shock me one bit if that has reversed.

We would be drilled by North Shore, and it's not even really a question imo. Doesn't mean I don't want to see if happen though.

Maybe one day you gets competitive schedule. I like lufkin through because it is actual rivalry.

Lufkin and Tyler, I can understand some a rivalry stand point, even though I was hoping Lufkin + another one.

Still expecting to end up in an 8 or 9 team district, so wouldn't be shocked if one/two games get cancelled.

Just feels like laziness on King's part, which really just sums up the program at the moment.
