  1. They were mistaken then. Believe the 5A State Championships are (unofficially) coming to Dallas in 2010 at the new Texas Stadium. Houston has them for the next two years (this year and 2009).
  2. Thanks for the heads up on the article. Pretty remarkable how fast this program has turned around. Should be another good one.
  3. Hubert didn't break many tackles against Longview. It was just, he got into open field. And boom. Gone from there. But that only really happened in the 2nd half. Outside of 1 drive in the 1st half, on a short field at that, we contained him.
  4. Longview and Denton Guyer will be the last game in Texas Stadium this season.
  5. Wow. Just wow. Dallas and Phoenix tied 3-3 after 2 periods of play. Dallas controls play the entire night, so far, and yet they're only tied. Brunnstrom got the Dallas goal.
  6. Dallas - 2 Phoenix - 2 After the 1st Period Good first period overall. James Neal and Trevor Daley pick up the goals for the Stars. Was a big time penalty filled period.
  7. This Lobo fan will. Haven't seen a back do that against us since Lane did back in the 04 regionals.
  8. Allen will gets their next year when they come to Lobo Stadium to start the season. Is it Saturday yet?!?!?! Go Lobos!
  9. Thank ya. Tom Wandell is set to make his NHL debut tonight against Phoenix. Have heard great things about this guy, hopefully he can make a impact right off the bat.
  10. Pretty sure it's at Reliant down in Houston.
  11. Heads up for Lobo fans.. We'll be the home team this week but we're sitting on the same side as we did against Midway. Enter through Gate 8 once again!
  12. Really am ready to move on from this. Hope our players don't get caught up in thinking about this game more than thinking about Guyer. Lets go Lobos. Beat Guyer.
  13. Your Dallas Stars (10-12-4, 24 pts) Vs The Phoenix Coyotes (12-13-2, 26 pts) Regular Season Game 25, Overall Game 32 Where: American Airlines Center | Dallas, Texas Date: Wednesday, December 10th Time: 7:30 PM Central Time Stars TV/Radio: Fox Sports Southwest | 820 AM WBAP Oilers TV/Radio: Arizona TV | 910 AM Xtra Sorry guys. Finals week this week, so no time for full game thread.
  14. I use to be one of those that was against the 4 team thing, but I've seen what just making the playoffs does to some of these guys. And agreed on the point if we're going to have 3..might as well have 4 as well. But if we are going to have 4..and have a 6 game set on each side of the bracket, I at least think there should be a set place for all of them. Yes I know some teams would end up playing a team in their own backyard...my own team did in 97 against Katy. But really, think of the type of interest that would grow if they had maybe Division 1 games on Friday and Division II games on Saturday (depending how many classes this 4 team thing falls too). Would be a great weekend to showcase the talent that is in Texas Football, JMO.
  15. 100% agree on everything. Guyer is just as good as we are and this will be a battle of who can make the least amount of mistakes. Longview must come ready to play and forget about last week's game. On the fan stand point, I honestly have no idea what was wrong with our crowd. Whether it be shock, whether it be something else I don't know. I, too, continued to cheer and scream and make as much noise as possible as Midway was driving. It honestly felt like past Lobo games that we've blown (aka South Garland and Lufkin). Our team has been given a 2nd chance somewhat because of Aaron Johnson. We need to come out to Texas Stadium and be the loudest of the 6 teams that will be playing there this week. Rest assured, if you're sitting around me on Saturday, you better get ready to make some noise.
  16. Don't worry. That writer got a handful of e-mails from Lobo Nation. LHS didn't have classes today due to a power outage but I believe they headed over to Kilgore to practice. Can't wait till this weekend. GO LOBOS!
  17. The challenge for Longview is to do something they haven't done all year, but will have to do for the next two weeks to take home the trophy. That's simply to play a complete, four quarters game. Longview has come close to playing a 4 quarter game...heck even against Midway, Longview was in complete control of the game until midway through the 4th quarter. However, the defense played utterly lost in the 2nd half. The closest they've come to a real complete game, IMO, is against Tyler Lee. But here's your challenge Lobos. Get it done. Go Lobos.
  18. Really. The Stars have and always will have a better overall organization than the Rangers do. The Texas Rangers have yet to even win a playoff series, much less a championship. Dallas is fresh off a trip to the WCF and has some of the best yonug talent in the NHL today. This team is having a rough season now, with not only the entire Avery deal...but with 5-6 key players out long term. But they will continue to get better as the next couple of seasons go by. Unlike the Rangers, who have been saying that for the past 10 years and have done nothing on the field. (sorry cheapy)
