Soccerbuff has always been dedicated to building up the Whitehouse girls. It's great to see your enthusiasm and interest for the program you worked to "build up" hasn't waned. Since you can't build them up in person, you build them up in writing.

I can say with absolutely certainty that the reassignment has nothing to do with the fact that Palestine football didn't make the playoffs this year. A grievance was filed against Tunstall for misconduct, and that's why he was reassigned. I'm not sure why the newspaper article was so vague; I believe this probably would be a matter of public record? Hopefully I'm not violating any Smoaky rules since this is a fact and not idle gossip.

So, first you say that every coach voted for the same guy (the Nac coach), and then you come back in the post right before this one to argue that the other coach who got a vote was from jacksonville? Did you bump your head between posts?:tongue:

Buffy, it must be hard to be humble with all this praise. Just ignore people who want to bring you down. Any time you're successful, jealous people will try to cast shadows on your shining moment. I personally started a "Conspiracy Theory" thread about your "throwing" a game (it got removed because some people got too worked up over it), but as I had said there, whatever you did--it worked. And it doesn't sound like you threw it anyway. Legitimate reasons for what you did. Congrats to you and your kids, and you've got my vote for COY!

It's great to start a program at a high school, yes, and it's difficult if "the interest for soccer...is almost zero," but part of a coach's job is to cultivate interest and to become involved in the youth program so that it grows and feeds into the high school program. I think that's where many coaches fall short.

But the right coach could change that. The players' attitudes reflect the coach even more than the community over time. Copeland's a really great person; any coach would be privileged to work for him, so the job has some appeal certainly...

Any word on who may be coaching this year?

Who got what for All district in 14-4A?

You'd think that in a playoff situation a ref would be pretty reluctant to throw cards around, but it didn't seem that way this year.

I hear that's being discussed for next realignment.

Has anybody heard about all-district team for 17-4A?

Soccer at that level is so much fun to watch because the crowds are big and so enthusiastic. Chanting, drumming, cheering...
