  1. Just took a call about this one on SportsRadio Live on 99.3 Talk FM, I don't see anything to the rumors at all yet. If there were and HP would be advancing, I'm certain we would have heard something about it by now. Google/Old Coach/Smoaky aren't turning up anything concrete, anyone see any other links on this?
  2. Challenge accepted. Friday nights after our live Whitehouse broadcast on 99.3 Talk FM, we start our scoreboard show about 10pm. Here's my criteria for my scoreboard show. 1) Give the scores, every score you have, every segment. 2) Shut up and go back to #1. Anybody who knows me from KLTV or who listens to SportsRadio Live from 4-6p knows I always try and put on an entertaining broadcast every day. There's a time and place for comedy, but a scoreboard show isn't it. We're not there to hear ourselves talk, we're not there to tell you we'll have your scores after 37 commercials. We're there to provide a service for our listeners. I've been doing this for twenty years, all the way back to the KGAS trailerhouse days. I understand what's important to you when you get in your car. Tune us in on 99.3 Talk FM Friday nights (bye week next week, we're back in the 24th), we'll get you the scores and the coverage you deserve as East Texas football fans. Promise.
  3. For signing day today, we'll be talking with Longview's Aaron Johnson (Houston), Lee's Blake Roberts (TCU), Jefferson's Clarence Lee (Baylor), and Cayuga's Traylon Shead (Texas) & Malcome Kennedy (Texas A&M). You can catch it at 99.3 Talk FM from 4-6p, or on the website at 99.3Sports.com. Interviews from yesterday with John Tyler's Ashton Dorsey (Texas) and Arp's LaVocheya Cooper (Oklahoma State) are up at the website as podcasts. I'm live at Where's Rufus for the show with Craig "Booker C" Smoak, with plenty of giveaways and the like, you can call or email with your Super Bowl predictions to get your name in the drawings. Happy Signing Day, everybody! Reid Kerr SportsRadio Live, 99.3 Talk FM 993Sports.com
  4. Nah, Reid didn't know what he was saying. Actually, I misread my notes, the game does start at 6pm, radio pregame starts at 5pm. Go Dawgs!
  5. Thanks for all the good work, DawgDavis! Go Dawgs!
  6. Thanks, we were all pretty proud of today's show. If anyone missed it and wants to hear any of the interviews (David Warren, Gino Torretta, Donovan Lewis, Tommy Allison, Josh Harvey), you can check out the podcasts at the website.
  7. What's up with the double-drive-up lanes I'm starting to see? How is that going to work? I don't want them shooting my burger and shake out to me through one of those bank tubes.
  8. The old cast will be on there mostly, but some will only be on to transition into the new cast. I love Scrubs, but this has "AfterM*A*S*H" written all over it.
  9. Yeah, I laughed when he was standing on the street corner playing "Wonderwall." That was a nice inside joke. Brotherly love? Sure, in a Menendez-brothers sort of way.
  10. I thought they had broken up years ago, or killed each other, or something like that. Yeah, two-hit wonders over here, but much bigger in the UK. My favorite thing Oasis did was inspire the character of Charlie on "Lost."
  11. With Bobby Bowden stepping down, today on SportsRadio Live we're going to talk to one of his prize recruits from fifteen years ago, John Tyler's David Warren. Warren was the USA Today High School Player of the Year back in 1996, and the top player in the country. At five, we'll be talking to David about what it was like to play for Bowden. I'll also be talking to Heisman Trophy winner Gino Torretta about Bowden, this year's race, Texas against Florida/Alabama, and other college football-related questions. We'll take calls and emails if you have any questions, in fact, you can go ahead and email in your questions to [email protected], we'll get to as many of those as we can.
  12. Ric Flair. Got to be, he carried the NWA through the territories days, then took the NWA national, then took it to the WWF/E and did the same. No offense to the other names on the list, but how many guys had the best match of their lives against Flair? He got a quality hour out of Kerry Von Erich. He was the man, no doubt. 13. I really like mine. Reid Kerr SportsRadio Live, 4-6p, 99.3 Talk FM http://www.993sports.com
  14. Everything's up and running, SportsRadio Live makes its East Texas debut today at four pm. I'm predicting a whole lot of Cowboys talk, for some reason. The website is now also up and streaming, you can find that at http://www.993sports.com. Click the bar across the top of the page for the live streaming. As always, your calls and comments (and emails and twitters, etc) will be welcome. -- Reid
  15. That would be PHD, my obscure 80's-loving amigo. Tesla was an underrated band, possibly because they were a bunch of funny-looking guys in an era where everyone else was glammed out. They were denim jackets when everyone else was spandex and White Rain hair spray. I'm really looking forward to having an outlet to talk about sports (and obscure 80s trivia with Cheapy) again. Reid
