Grand Saline will get a bye. They will play the winner of White Oak and Tatum. Mineola and Edgewood are still waiting. District 17 has a 3 way tie for second and third. They are playing it off tomorrow. i know Hooks won the flip so they are in. MP Chapel Hill and Redwater play at 4:30. Winner gets in. Then the winner will play Hooks right after that to determine 2nd and 3rd.

Grand Saline is looking for a Warm-up game this week either Tuesday, May 1st or Thursday,May 3rd. Would really like to play that Thursday. Contact Coach Luce if interested.

Ok so back to baseball and these kids. Congrats to all three teams on making the playoffs. We wish every team well. I hope all three do well in the playoffs. Last night was a hard fought game. Both pitchers kept the offenses in check. GS's Savallo threw 6 1/3 giving up 1 unearned run coming off short rest this week. Mineola's Galaz was just as good going 6+ after competing in 5 events at the Regional track meet the past 2 days. One last congrats to Mineola's Eric Galaz and Grand Saline's Lucas Akins. Both players qualified for the state track meet.

The school has taken care of the issue. This was certainly not ignored. Punishment was done. If you don't know the situation then don't speculate please. It's been a rough week.
