GOP platform returns to hardline stance on illegal immigration
parentofredheads replied to a topic in Political Arena
Well, you're going to have to make up your mind....they're doing what you wanted, sales tax versus property tax. And you still complain....and call them names. -
^ Apparently the folks in Cantor's district are a bit more concerned and did something about it; while the folks in Graham's district didn't, or they like what he's doing anyway. You can't force people to vote; you can't force people to keep up with politics; and you sure can't force people on which candidate to vote for. Cantor's loss is a big wakie wakie for RINOs; pity Ryan isn't up for re-election since he's calling for "immigration reform". Now, what's absolutely hilarious about Cantor's loss, is the White House comes out and says, no, his loss wasn't because of amnesty....

I'd like to know who the other 6 companies were.... I WILL NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES EAT ANYTHING TYSON... ICK - GROSS! Not McDonald's, don't drink Cokes...don't stay at Choice Hotels; Exelon is a wind turbine company... obviously doesn't fit the bill here... so who's the other 6 corporations we can no longer use/buy. -

White House says Hagel made final call on Bergdahl...
parentofredheads replied to Wild74's topic in Political Arena
"No daylight"... all righty then... explain Benghazi... truthfully...obviously too hard to do. The "King" is neither believable nor transparent... I recall, "I'll have the most transparent presidency and administration of all..." uh-huh... -
Bergdahl a Traitor, not a Hero......
parentofredheads replied to RETIREDFAN1's topic in Political Arena
Very true. I know in past wars there have been prisoner exchanges, but this isn't exactly the same; a traitor deserter for 5 top bad guys. Course since Hagel's getting the blame now, guess he'll be stepping down soon... UNBELIEVABLE! "Himself" knows nothing, never knows nothing, hasn't a clue, just okays what everybody else says...uh-huh....just like Hillary, "buck stops with me, but it's not my fault security people didn't do their job..." uh-huh...same song and dance. -

White House now blaming Hagel for this swap....another one is fixing to get thrown under the bus to protect "King Himself" - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2653672/Now-White-House-says-Hagel-final-call-Bergdahl-criticism-Obama-prisoner-swap-mounts.html Last night we watched Lone Survivor with Mark Walberg...after watching that and the POC King making this swap....sure puts things into perspective and makes the blood boil. Suffice to say, I would imagine all our men and women who proudly wear the emblem of the United States of America are a little "irked" at this moment. -

Didn't you say before that you were all for a sales tax versus a property tax? So why are you against it now? -

Donald Sterling has approved the sale of the Clippers
parentofredheads replied to JTFAN99's topic in Political Arena
Nope, not wrong, just his choice. However, it sure would've been interesting to see what 75% of the owners would've decided...cuz you can betcha they're being real, REAL careful about what they say and do now... and if 75% of the owners can change who is the NBA commissioner... well, guess what's coming next. Still though, sorry to hear that you believed he needed to sell....Folks like Sterling think of one thing, dollars and cents... there also comes with it a lot of hard-headedness...it's how they made what they have. Had he been younger and not dealing with Cancer... no telling what he'd done...and he'd pushed it all the way... guys like that always do. -
Could Tatum be playing 6 man football soon? ......
parentofredheads replied to KirtFalcon's topic in Political Arena
Yes, I know... and I keep warning about the end of fracking... just a matter of time. Course, with the Texas co in bankruptcy, EPA not only crippled it, but I'm sure I'll find out what else crippled it... but I'm already hearing stories, especially from Tatum folks. And trust me, their creditors are foaming at the mouth......FOAMING! They're fixing to make an example of this Texas coal/electric company that's in a Republican state, you know, those ole red necks who don't believe in global warming, blah, blah, blah....obviously not stated that way, but you can hear it in the overtones....this one is going to be a long one, and it's going to be one of the bigger bankruptcy cases....and those creditors are going to make it last as long as they can. They're only in the beginning stages, but when this thing starts, it's going to go on for years! -

They're in Delaware bankruptcy court as of now...tomorrow is another hearing for 'em. Tons of companies involved in this, and this is going to be a BIG one! -
http://www.vocativ.com/culture/science/canada-clamps-scientists-talking-climate-change/ Interesting... While south of them, Obama again bypasses Congress to institute new laws costing over 200,000 jobs per year, and trillions of dollars. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/06/02/obama-to-announce-rule-to-limit-emissions-from-fossil-burning-plants-part-his/

To update on the story; the gay community has decided that Ole Earl's is the place to be to: “Well, the food isn’t all that good, but this is still the best gay cruiser joint in Texas! I’ve picked up several dates there. All are very handsome, very gay men. I hear the owner offers discounts to men in chaps.” “I think the restaurant better learn to adapt or they will probably have to close their doors soon,” says Kyle, who identifies himself as a gay man. One Yelp review reads, “this place is great… you can really let your freak flag fly here.” http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2014/05/30/controversial-texas-restaurant-becoming-a-highly-rated-gay-bar/ I think they'll find out soon enough this kind of mess won't be tolerated...."better learn to adapt"....EXCUSE ME!

Suffice to say, anyone and everyone will get thrown under the bus to protect Obama.

True that, but as noted in other topic... EPA sure isn't helping... and steel is ruled by unions in the U.S. Which begs the question if Keystone is ever built...somebody is going to try and make the prerequisite of it being totally done by union workers... Take North Dakota, for instance, some companies producing oil up there ONLY use union contractors; others ONLY use non-union contractors....oldest says, and I quote... "Mom, these union welders up here are flat crazy."
