  1. We've already talked about the cross-fencing...your neighbor is the one who stuck his hand out...the majority doesn't. And I'm sorry, are you saying that folks should vote for who YOU think they should vote for? I'll ask it again, if you owned a dairy, you spent thousands and thousands of dollars for your cows, your milking equipment, and hired help, and then the govt. comes in and SETS the price of your product...how would you feel?
  2. Sadly, this kind of mess is happening in the U.S. as well.
  3. getting pretty bold - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2637789/Threatening-cartel-billboards-warning-police-choose-silver-lead-come-complete-hanging-mannequins-appearing-Texas.html Now, which liberal politician was it that said El Paso was one of the safest bordering cities? 4. So what, he wants to change it so he can become King? Not surprising!
  5. Very true...and it's not just food, it's everything... and climbing steadily upwards...now watch everybody scream as soon as they raise the interest rates. Course then, it'll be "we can't buy that house, it's too high, why can't the govt. help us..." ad nauseum, ad nauseum
  6. As to your first question...well, DUH... answer outta be obvious... apparently not to you.
  7. Have y'all seen this! (hope the link works) About TIME somebody said those things! http://mash.network.coull.com/activatevideo?video_provider_id=2&pid=8165&website_id=23863&width=549&height=339&embed_type=IFRAME&video_provider_url=http://www.youtube.com/embed/A1jeJmeeMjs?version%3D3%26rel%3D1%26fs%3D1%26showsearch%3D0%26showinfo%3D1%26iv_load_policy%3D1%26wmode%3Dtransparent&mobile=true&referrer=http://allenwestrepublic.com/2013/11/10/allen-west-here-is-truly-one-of-the-exceptional-good-guys-on-capitol-h
  8. Obviously, I'm not talking about Monsanto there!!!!! And, no, they don't think the "world owes them." Yet, I know what you're talking about, and I somewhat agree.... the problem with it is, the government sets prices of ag products...now, if some dufus is setting the price of what you're producing, and one lone tractor, ONE LONE TRACTOR costs upwards of $250,000... now, uh.......and that doesn't even include the attachments that goes with it. Oh, and speaking of... my House rep is head of the Ag committee, who I sent a message to re USDA buying vests and submachine guns...got a call back yesterday - that's 2 calls back in 2 weeks regarding my e-mails...question is, what has YOUR representative done for you lately? Anyhoos, the answer to my question, USDA said, and I quote "just last week, we broke up a huge rooster fighting ring and the week before that, a dog fighting ring." Course my response to my rep's rep was what the DEVIL do they need submachine guns for, though? AKs won't work? He also noted that the administration and the agencies are changing their rules so fast, it's very, VERY hard to keep up with everything, (yep, get that totally), the reps, obviously, have only so much money they can work with to hire folks to go through all this mess, and he said (rep from D.C.) said they're all working 6 days a week, and at least 14 hours a day. So my rep's doing his job...One of these days when I retire, if he's still in office, I might go over to Tyler and give a couple days a week of my time to help...give me the CBO and I can find all kinds of things!
  9. What driller, in the right mind, would even attempt to do any kind of drilling or fracking in the liberal State of California? Wouldn't be feasible...at all. Oh, well, too bad, their choice. Which is funny. BTW, watched a show on whatever the other night about wolves, super packs.... now, lemme tell ya, there's more attacks by wolves these days...showing the heat image of 200 plus wolves is well...creepy! I note this because...they're coming down, straight through the heartland, and both my sons are up in ND, and they often are out welding in a "nothing zone" by themselves...and then one starts thinking about the movie with Liam Neelson (sp?) The Gray... ick! And don't say, grab the pistol... ND has a weird pistol law - totally opposite from Texas (oldest already figured this one out) - you can have a pistol, but it has to be in full view of anyone, get that ANYONE walking past your vehicle, and clips and bullets have to be some place totally different and ZERO in the chamber... you'd think some dufus would figure out, oh, hey, wouldn't that encourage someone to break into someone's vehicle...and with all these Texas folk going up... well, the oil towns are making a killing. Obviously said something to the boys about it, and I got this, OH, MOM, UP HERE YOU COULD SEE WOLVES COMING 2 MILES AWAY...but, son.... MOM, I'LL HAVE A TORCH IN MY HAND... well, all right, good point. But they've seen 'em, five or six at a time.
  10. Totally agree...the gay community makes it about "fairness". Well, it's not, it's about money. Also, the decision these other federal judges are making using the Supreme Court's decision does NOT by any means compare. While some states allow it, state legislature has passed it, folks voted on it, etc., etc. and vice versa...the Supreme Court ruling is different. I'm sure we'll soon see, at some point, when the Supreme Court takes on the decision of the will of the people and its state legislature versus feds getting into state rights.
  11. Well, I know what I'd do if I saw these guys... I'D ASK FOR AN AUTOGRAPH! LOL Viva Las Vegas!!!!
  12. Great example - and very well written article - on Sharpton - who as we know, received the NAACP award that Sterling was up for.... unbelievable! As to Cuban, looks like we know how he's going to vote in the upcoming vote regarding Sterling. http://dailysurge.com/2014/05/video-al-sharpton-defends-history-hate-one-jew/ Al Sharpton’s history of hate is so voluminous and well documented, where does one even begin? The time he disparaged Jews as “diamond merchants” during the unrest of the infamous Crown Heights riots? Or when Sharpton tried goading NYC’s Jewish community into an all-out fistfight, saying “If the Jews want to get it on, tell them to pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house”? How about referring to the Jewish owner of Freddy’s Fashion Mart, Fred Harari, as a “white interloper” for seeking to expand his business in Harlem? (You may have heard of Freddy’s. It was also known as the Harlem Massacre. One of Sharpton’s followers also disapproved of the “white interloper” and burned the store to the ground, murdering eight people including himself.) But those tirades were just Sharpton’s anti-semitic ones. He’s also sermonized on “Greek homos” and “crackas” as well as bombarded former NYC Mayor David Dinkins with a barrage of N-bombs. So if you’re Sharpton and you’re confronted about some of your “greatest hits,” what do you do? Scoff at the questioning and argue that one of your notorious racial slurs wasn’t, in fact, a slur because it was meant for just one Jewish individual. No, seriously, that was Sharpton’s defense. On the night of the glitzy Washington Correspondents Dinner, Daily Surge Publisher Jason Mattera asked the faux Civil Rights leader if he should be banned from television, “in the spirit of Donald Sterling,” for all the “racist stuff” he’s said over the years. Sharpton, recall, threatened boycotts and protests if the National Basketball Association failed to ban Sterling from the league. If you can believe it, Sharpton challenged Mattera to produce evidence of racism. And when that evidence was produced, easily (see above) – in this case, him calling Fred Harari a “white interloper” and David Dinkins a n***** – Sharpton ignored the shot at Dinkins, but ridiculously claimed that “whiter interloper” didn’t rise to the level of racism because it was directed at only one Jew, not a neighborhood of them. “When did I call Jews ‘white interlopers’?” Sharpton demanded. Mattera reminded Sharpton of Freddy’s Fashion Mart and followed-up with, “Doesn’t it take some serious balls on your end to accuse somebody of racism?” Sharpton blustered back, “You went from one guy who paid people off the books and was wrong,” before the “Reverend ” rambled on about ‘lies’ and ‘distortions’ as though he’s been misinterpreted all these years. Of course, splitting hairs over anti-semitic comments is probably not the best position to find oneself in. “One guy!” In any event, who knows how many Jews Al Sharpton had in mind. When an audiotape surfaced of him disparaging Mr. Harari, his initial reaction was, “What’s wrong with denouncing white interlopers?” Sharpton eventually gave one of those half-hearted apologies (a bloodbath ensued at Freddy’s, after all) and then carried on with his profession of stoking racial strife. As idiotic as Donald Sterling’s comments were, they were still said in private. Sharpton’s tirades, on the other hand, were delivered for public consumption. And not only has Sharpton been rewarded with his own primetime television show on MSNBC, he’s a frequent guest at the White House and Obama officials headline his National Action Network conference. Recently, the Los Angeles chapter of the NAACP honored Sharpton with their “Person of the Year” award, an accolade that was originally slated to be given to – wait for it – Donald Sterling. 13. That system has been broke for a long, long time, but it's super awful now.... The problem is, if they're going to offer free healthcare to vets, they should just give 'em a card with USA on it, and say, "send us the bill". I CAN'T even begin to tell you the stuff I've heard during the House VA hearings...it ABSOLUTELY boils the blood that our vets are treated this way.
  14. EVERYBODY knows farmers and ranchers are more conservative... what's your excuse? Again, you haven't a CLUE about farming and ranching....now run along and go sniff some more Reid.
  15. With all the executive actions Obummer is fixing to do... let's hope for the best, but I don't have a real fuzzy feeling about it.
  16. Well, DUH, has absolutely NOTHING to do with the drought as you put forth earlier....absolutely ZILCH! If it's a bad drought, they flood the market, when they flood the market, the price goes down.... DUH! And prices were down when we were in a drought here in East Texas/Oklahoma/parts of Louisiana....WAY DOWN! Price of hay and feed were higher than producing it; some folks kept 'em, some folks sold out completely...but then you wouldn't know that with your head up ... Reid's ####. You have ZILCH knowledge about bovine, ranching and farming....now shush up and go get your Reid talking points....or should I say Reid's pooh.
  17. Wrong....drought is NOT driving beef prices, if anything, it would DROP the prices, because folks would be getting rid of cows because they can't feed them....flooding the market. The reason for beef prices, we are at the lowest herd count since the early 1950s; corn prices are soaring, couple of years ago was the first time that corn was used more for something other than feed. So the next time you want to buy some hamburger or some steaks, and complain about the price, you can thank corn ethanol and the price of diesel for it. Now, the price of beef is starting to average out versus the expense of growing it.
  18. Whenever you get bored, feel free to listen to the House VA hearings.... that'll make your blood boil like you wouldn't believe!
  19. ^ Very good point. Cruz, West, Carson.... The only problem I have with Cruz running and actually winning....who the heck are we going to get for a Senator as his replacement? Rand's starting to go a little off the reservation...
  20. Sorry, not getting your question at all..."would it feel OK to work a job just out of school?" Unless you mean literally get a job fresh out of school - if so, well, gee, I sure hope so! As to the out-sourcing and off-shoring...not to mention, if your president has his way, more internships, etc. to illegals for high-paying jobs (although legal in the sense of a green card).....some of the biggest liberal companies out-source - GE for one; Microsoft, etc. There comes a point where you can be in school for too long; management positions, depending on the field, can end up paying a lot less than what you paid for your degree...but to each his own. Strictly speaking, there are some jobs that require a college degree, engineering, medical, teaching, lawyering, for example...others well....with very little college or none, can make a ton of money - See North Dakota! As to management, I can tell you this, which you've already done, get in the business itself, be a worker, do it all; take a few higher courses of management, good to go; start your own store/restaurant/whatever; i.e., might want to throw some accounting courses in there!
  21. ^ Read that yesterday - didn't know that SunTrust had done that... idiots - but at least they got the heads-up and stood up.
  22. Steyer and Buffett seem to be pretty cozy....Steyer's just helping his bud out make more millions on his trains.
  23. So the governing body in Sudan are all extremists? If you've become a practicing Muslim, won't you adhere to Sharia law? And why does praying at a mosque or in a church HAVE ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING to do with this pregnant woman who is married to a Christian, who is 9 months pregnant being whipped and hanged? As to those who are doing it "will meet theirs"....not by their law...they're doing exactly what their religion teaches 'em.
