  1. Only after loosing the lead! With 8 seconds left to play on the clock in the second half Hallsville takes a knee. What is that if not the perfect time to throw the long ball, not to mention that they were up 14 : 0 at the time. They had a couple of strikes for at least 50 yards why not throw the long ball here. This is what im talking about when I say stalling the game, and that poor little QB got beat up all night long. The O.C didn' t even give him a chance to run for his life by rolling out more.
  2. Hallsvilles has the potential to make big plays on offense, but their head coach and offensive coordinator need to get their heads out of their butts. The Cats had a 14 - 0 lead at the end of the first half last week and lost the game because they did not continue to throw the ball, after scoring 2 TD's in the first six minutes of the game with the pass play. Hallsvilles Coaching staff is soft and they gave that Nac game away by stalling the offense. There are some very good receivers on that team and they refuse to pass unless they are forced to do so. I just can't understand it..... Nac was prepaired to stop the run game and Hallsville refused to stop running the ball, even after having sucess in their passing game. Marshall will win this one if Hallsvilles coaching staff dosen't take advantage of what the Marshall D gives them.
  3. You' re right, I forgot all about them chumps even being in that district. But they also use a dual threat running attact! I think.....
  4. HALLSVILLE also gave MP a tough game last year! If MP think they're just going to give them that District Title, They are in Neverland.
  5. Kilgore's QB this season, was the CB last year that shut Cannon DOWN.
  6. Kilgore will mash MP again this year by multiple TD's. The very guy that shut KD Cannon down last year, is the QB for Kilgore this season. He will do great things.
  7. 903sown Posted Yesterday, 11:28 AM MP should beat Kilgore by 14. Without a win on Friday, this district totally is up for grabs(something THIGH, SS, Marshall, and Hallsville love to think about) So far, MP played a weak Paris team, an average 3A Liberty Eylau, and an extremely subpar 4A in Terrell. As soon as the reports from this game emerged online, everyone understood just how bad the Terrell team played. How can you overlook Kilgore's dominance of legitamate 4a competition? I prefer to look at Kilgore's schedule as a predictor of this game versus the creampuff schedule MP put together(aside from Kilgore). Kilgore provides the Tigers with an excellent opponent with a strong tradition in winning and tough play. However, if MP want to be listed with the big boys (as the guru's preemptively included MP in this order) they should win. You can't be first round victims, destroy subpar teams, lose to decent opponents, then want the same respect reserved for the best. You may receive hype, but proving yourself always evades 14-4A. Side Note: How quickly MP forgets the incredible talent of James. James dominated all opponents and hid the weaker areas of this team offensively. This current QB may be all things as above, but James kept this team above 500. My prediction is MP because they should win based on the talk coming from that area and past success. Just know this: I won't be surprised if the walk can keep up with the talk. You are right on the money 903sown (Monty James) was the reason that MP won District 14-4a last year. He is the new age of QB, that is what it takes to win in todays style of football. The dual threat along with a few good receivers is a combination that is tuff to beat, throw in an average RB and you have a winning offense.
