Another Texas High coach lands head coaching job. The Waldron, Ark.. Bulldogs have their man. Actually they have Dale Mann. Mann was hired as the school’s new football coach. . Mann, who spent the past three seasons as an assistant at Texas High in Texarkana, said it was time for him to make the jump back to Arkansas. Liberty- Eylau has the worst football stadium in Texarkana. I have heard all the reasons why this is the case. Until the L-E community comes together and pushes for either a new stadium or massive renovations to the current stadium, it will be hard to get some coaches interested in applying for L-E football jobs. Let's hope the new coach can work with L-E community to get something done to improve the stadium. Does anyone know of any current efforts to improve the stadium ?

I for one hope this is true. PG has an outstanding baseball program in a baseball crazy town. I hope North Lamar will soon announce the new coach. This will help both PG and North Lamar supporters.

The Hawks shut out White Oak, 8-0, and rallied in their final at-bat to beat Jacksonville, 6-5. ------------------------- TROPHY CLUB, Texas—Texas High scored three runs in bottom of the seventh to force a 5-all tie with McKinney and scored in the top of the seventh to edge host Byron Nelson, 5-4, in the Russell Athletic tournament. ------------------------- Henderson 13, L-E 5 Softball LONGVIEW, Texas—Texas High rallied for 11 runs in its final at-bat to overcome New Diana, 18-9, and bested Spring Hill, 4-1, during the opening day of the Longview tournament at Lear Park.

Texas High boys (17-7) tentatively will play Mansfield Summit at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Longview's Lobo Coliseum in the area round.

Texas High beat Hallsville 79-50. The Tigers are your 14-4A district champs. Texas High has a bi-district playoff game with Wylie East next Tuesday at Paris High School. Congratulations to the Tigers on their district championship, and good luck in the playoffs.

Texas High’s girls will face Arlington Seguin on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the area round of the state playoffs. The game will be at Lobo Coliseum in Longview.
