UPDATE: Henderson hires Othell Robinson
AMERICAN 1 replied to Slickarick's topic in High School Sports
This tells me you have no clue about all of this. Invitations were hand delivered to the superintendent's office. If he didn't get them to the administrators and board members, then it's on him. -

Every administrator and board member was invited. All no shows. -
That the truth, whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

So what kind of coach is going to go to Henderson where the assistant sup is athletic director.

It was mentioned on another post about Mike's passing on Monday morning, but I wanted to mention it again. Mike was the most faithful Henderson Lion fan ever. I believe he started following the Lions full time in 1977 and only missed 3 games in that time span. Mike served as the radio voice of the Lions, did the stadium PA on all Thursday night games, and ran the booster club for many years. He even took a vacation from broadcasting for a few years and did sideline stats for Dennis Alexander. He was a close friend to and a big help for every Lion head coach. Mike kept every stat on the team each year that you could imagine. If you wanted to know who the back judge was in the 1983 Henderson - Carthage game, he could look it up for you. He love all Lion sports and broadcast basketball and baseball at times, but football was his #1 love. Mike did more for Lion football than anyone will ever know. Mike, you are loved and will be sorely missed by all!

You are so wrong about the number of kids moving out.

You hit the nail on the head. He is a great leader for our kids. Theres a whole lot more of life lived outside of high school football than in it. Kids need to be taught how to be real men.

Mabank will shock in this one.

One idiot from Henderson that goes under 3 different names does not constitute most of Henderson. He is an embarrassment, but nothing can be done about him. Don't judge all the fans here by a few

I'm proud to have him as our coach.
