  1. Good to see ETBU getting some wins. They have some good athletes, but their loss underscores the big difference between D2 and D3, between 36 scholarships and 0 scholarships.
  2. Of course golf is a sport. It contains the elements of mental and physical exertion, intense preparation, physical total-body movement, extreme coronation, endurance, strategy, competition, etc.
  3. I saw that-he also has two more years of eligibility and a bright future! They will show improvement on D next year and he'll still have athletes around him.
  4. Comical thread! One complaint about the team and it's about a player who MADE it!
  5. Sam Snead did that during Masters ceremonial Tee Shot several Yrs ago, so they started inviting ex winners to do it, stopped letting all ex winners show up and tee off.
  6. A win today is doable to get to 3-4. Then likely 4-6 finish, a good start to new coach tenure. Good size all over roster. West TX AM transfer Marshall a great player. Good rotation at QB with young sophs Warbington and Holder both playing well and set up great for '14 and '15, both good stats without to's. Curl good athlete lines up all over. Bates does it all on Off and Spec Tm with great speed and Sherman is a big strong receiver. Young team, hope good future. Mucho Texas boys. Watch out for DT Ware from Carthage.
  7. Cardinals won 40-12. Now 6-2 (2-0). Similar feel to last year's game. Could have been bigger win, but backups in, seemed like really young guys playing for both teams. I couldn't make drive back to monticello, AR without stopping to sleep though. Got home 4am. Just great.
  8. Many SEC fans felt strongly that A&M and Missouri would be fortunate to go 4-4 their first few years in the SEC. That adjustment would be difficult. Well, A&M went 6-2 last year, 4-1 in the toughest division in college football (SEC West), defeated the ultimate national champion and produced the Heis winner. Now this year, Mizzou will likely get to the SeC Championship game. Impressive! What say you?
