  3. there you go talking about my wife again
  4. i would rather have seen those kids go 0-10 with some discipline than what I saw in the 4 games that I attended last year. some, not all, of those kids were embarrassing to the entire community. good luck to the new regime.................you are gonna need it.
  5. maybe they can get a little more discipline at the hill. what i saw last year was unbelievable. it was like the qb ran the team.............and he didn't do a very good job of it
  6. It's been all good lately................but i remember when it was the other way around and they were smacking us regular!!!!
  7. BASS Announces Three Years of Bassmaster Classic Venues 2009 Classic in Shreveport-Bossier City, La.; 2010 in Birmingham, Ala.; 2011 in New Orleans by BASS Communications / BASS Bassmaster Classic returns to New Orleans in 2011. (Feb. 21, 2008 - Celebration, FL)... A rockin’ Southern spot, America’s Bass Capital and the Big Easy will usher in the excitement of the Bassmaster Classic through the next three years. In 2009, the 39th Bassmaster Classic will be held on the Red River out of Shreveport-Bossier City, La., where Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Jr., Kitty Wells and Slim Whitman, among others, started their careers; in 2010, Birmingham, Ala., welcomes back the Classic for the seventh time; and in 2011, the Classic marches back to New Orleans. Launches through the three days of competition in 2009 will be from Red River South Marina in Bossier City, La. "We’re excited to welcome the Bassmaster Classic back to Louisiana, long known as the Sportsman’s Paradise," Louisiana Lt. Governor Mitch Landrieu said. "We invite all the anglers, fans, and our BASS/ESPN family to enjoy Louisiana’s natural beauty, its great fishing, and our unique cultural heritage." "BASS is thrilled to bring the Classic to three vibrant and diverse bass fishing destinations," said Tom Ricks, vice president and general manager, BASS. "This announcement highlights our commitment to our fans and to our sponsors. Much like the Super Bowl, fans now can make arrangements well in advance of attending future Classics - bass fishing’s pinnacle event." With its historic first Bassmaster Classic, Shreveport-Bossier City also earns the distinction of hosting the first Classic in which a Women’s Bassmaster Tour angler will participate. The winner of the 2008 Toyota Women’s Bassmaster Tour Angler of the Year will automatically qualify for the 2009 Classic. "The Bassmaster Classic is a dream event," said Mary Ann Tice, executive director of the Shreveport Regional Sports Authority. "Hosting the Bassmaster Classic will be a defining moment for Shreveport-Bossier City and Northwest Louisiana. We are completely delighted and proud to welcome ESPN Outdoor and the entire BASS family to our world." The Shreveport Regional Sports Authority will roll out the red carpet for Classic weigh-ins at the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City. The 2009 Bassmaster Classic Outdoors Expo will be at the Shreveport Convention Center. Those interested in volunteering at the 2009 Bassmaster Classic in Shreveport-Bossier City should call BASS at 1-877-BASS-USA.
  8. that post makes a lot more sense than the last one. I have seen LH and know what they are capable off. I also know, that if we can get some penetration in their backfield, they WILL put the ball on the turf. they are very turnover prone. It's not called the sloppy-t for nothing. Gilmer can play with these guys. the defense is the key to a ring.
  9. so what you are saying is, since Celina couldn't beat them, neither can Gilmer. Wait a minute hoss, we ain't Celina and oh, don't let me remind you of our only meeting
  10. yes. one of the teams in their district somehow got out of the district after scedules were made. therefore, LH has had 2 open dates for the last 2 years. I think it was a team that opted to play 4A.
  11. they unloaded at least 3 greyhounds yesterday. don't know why that would change.
  12. after watching LH and Celina last year, i believe the key is our defensive line. we have got to get some penetration into the backfield and get some stops. another hinderance to Gilmer is that if LH is the home team, i assume they will elect to wear their dark purple uniforms. the ball is very hard to detect in those uni's. the slot-t is all about hiding the ball and they do it better in dark colors. on the other hand, their defensive backs are going to be very vulnerable and we will be able to move the ball....... gotta get a few stops on D. Go Buckeyes..............you guys CAN get it done :happy65: :happy65: :happy65:
  13. please don't judge us by cj9091. his posts are old and very annoying!!!!!!!
  14. congrats to the Arp Tigers!!!!!!!!!Way to go. :happy65:
  15. you need to get serious and get out and watch some other teams play. Gilmer is not the only team in this state that is good and if you believe that you are very much mistaken. i hope we win this week as much as anybody, but nothing is a given. this might be the 2 best teams in the state, although i have seen liberty hill and they can play too.
  16. i predict you are going to be right!!!!!!
  17. dude.........like the only thing you do is ask questions and then ### about the answers
  18. LaVega=3A DII State Champs no one has even mentioned them in the same breath as the almighty Celina Bobcats!!!!!!!
  19. just a reminder that Mildred beat Arp earlier in the year. 55 points later in the playoffs, Mildred was getting out the roundballs. It can and does happen..............all the time.
  20. I can't believe I just read all 8 pages of this and it's only sunday night. Good luck to both teams. If it weren't for Kevnasty I would pull for the tigers, but his unbelievable arrogance makes it impossible for me to do so. Tatum 33 D'field 26
  21. i know R/C is good, but i too am starting to think Roosevelt may be the best team in div 1 region 2. i hope R/C takes them out, cause i don't think gilmer is gonna want none of that action.
  22. Lumberjack Stadium on the campus of SFA i thought it was Homer Bryce Stadium?
  23. i agree with wildcatphs. he asked for an opinion by the way he worded his opening statement and got one from the westwood guy. no reason for cj to jump on him. everybody lighten up, and as smoak says "enjoy the ride"
