  2. The Alto Yellowjackets (District 10-2A Runner-Up) will take on the Normangee Panthers (District 9-2A 3rd seed) in the bi-district round of the Texas HS state playoffs. The game will be played Thursday, November 15th at 7:00 p.m. at Monte Jack Driscoll Stadium on the campus of Crockett High School; Alto is the home team. This is the first meeting between the two schools. The winner will play the winner of Garrison (11-2A Champion) vs. Groveton (12-2A 4th seed). Overton vs. Normangee Wildcat Stadium, Whitehouse 7 p.m., Friday, November 14 The Mustangs are riding high after surviving their nailbiting 30-28 win over Maud, while the Panthers hope to get back on track after a shellacking by Iola. Both are programs in the midst of rebuilding. Overton is a very young team, with sophomores and freshmen that start on both sides of the ball. The Panthers have more senior starters than the Mustangs have seniors, but Overton's youngsters are actually more experienced in the post-season than Normangee's, as this is the school's third-straight playoff appearan
