The Alto Yellowjackets (District 10-2A Runner-Up) will take on the Normangee Panthers (District 9-2A 3rd seed) in the bi-district round of the Texas HS state playoffs. The game will be played Thursday, November 15th at 7:00 p.m. at Monte Jack Driscoll Stadium on the campus of Crockett High School; Alto is the home team. This is the first meeting between the two schools. The winner will play the winner of Garrison (11-2A Champion) vs. Groveton (12-2A 4th seed). Overton vs. Normangee Wildcat Stadium, Whitehouse 7 p.m., Friday, November 14 The Mustangs are riding high after surviving their nailbiting 30-28 win over Maud, while the Panthers hope to get back on track after a shellacking by Iola. Both are programs in the midst of rebuilding. Overton is a very young team, with sophomores and freshmen that start on both sides of the ball.
