The Joaquin Rams will take on the Centerville Tigers Friday night at Tyler AllSaints Stadium. The Rams are the #2 seed out of District 11AA Division 1. The Tigers are the #3 seed out of District 12, but they wound up as the #3 in a tiebreaker after they, Lovelady and Groveton all finished 4-1 in district play. These two teams are mirror images of each other. The Tigers run the Wing-T and have two huge RBs that like to truck people. The Rams run the Slot-T and make their big plays with RBs Kase Yates and Hunter Gates, both of whom have rushed for over 1,000 yards on the season. Quarterback Tray Wilkerson runs the ball well, too, as evidenced by his 7 carry, 142 yard 3 TD performance vs Cushing. Neither team appears very fond of the forward pass. The Rams have two passing TDs all season. This game has all the makings of a slugfest.
