  1. It's homecoming for the Mavericks. Marshall is coming off a 47-21 win over Lindale. Hallsville is coming off a 55-35 loss to Pine Tree. The Mavs had another stellar performance from QB JJ Green. He had 222 yards passing against the Eagles. Marshall had another 224 on the ground. They rolled up 484 total yards. The Marshall defense gave up 265 yards, 176 through the air.   4. Mt. Pleasant currently sits at 0-3 going into this game against Jacksonville. It is Homecoming for the Tigers and they host their second opponent at home this week. Will the Tigers get their first win of the season or will Jacksonville be too much for the tigers for the third year in a row?   5. This will be Marshall's first road game since the season opener Vs. Royse City. The Mavs are (4-0) for the first time since 2001, and if they earn the win, could be (5-0) for the first time since 1996. The 1996 season was the last (10-0) season Marshall posted. Marshall will be at New Pirate Stadium for the third time since its opening in 2013.
