I was curious after reading those, if by projection, if you know his average completions per game, and his average TD's and yards per game you could tell us where that could possibly put him on those lists of all time greats? Both by seasons end,, and should we be lucky enough to play all the way to State.

Well, by doing the math from the statistics that are on Smoaky's post, Stump has thrown for 7470 yards, divide that number by 35 and you get just over 213 passing yards per game. 53.65 rushing yards per game. 2.68 TD passes per game. 267.08 total yards per game. 3ABaseballKid
Knowing his ability, he could do that all in one game if he so choose, lol. Good luck to him on achieving those, he's still got plenty of games left.

I'm not saying Gilmer will play in the state title game, I'm just projecting Stump's stats IF they do. Based on this season's averages: If Gilmer plays 15 games this season: 124 TD's and 9,959 yards If Gilmer plays 16 games this season: 127 TD's and 10,235 yards
BigBrother
Imagine what his numbers would be if he actually played all four quarters. ALOT of those games are just 1st halves! I'm sure that some of the quarterbacks on the all-time list didn't play all 4 quarters of every game, but I think their passing attempts tell the real story. Stump has completed 498 of 791 attempts in his career. If he plays in 16 games this season; based on this season's averages he will finish with 691 completions on 1,056 attempts. Compare that to the following: Career pass completions and attempts: 970 of 1,577 Drew Tate 895 of 1,371 Garrett Gilbert 805 of 1,234 Graham Harrell 680 of 1,231 Phillip Daugherty 650 of 1,200 G.J. misterderty
He is the best of the best. 3 and 0 against Daingerfield. I've had the priviledge of watching him play and he is outstanding...Had a chance to see Gilmers 4 previous QB's but IMO Godfrey is a little better...He seems to be more of a winner.. He can make all the throws and in a run situation will flat out run over opponents..good feet-arm strength-,mobility...Should be watching him on Saturdays in years to come ...Congradulations and good luck... RedCreek49
He is not far behind Dylan Favre, Brett Favre's Nephew back in MS. The 3 year starter has passed for 9,850 yards, 112 and TD's with 3 games left in the regular season. He plays on the 4A level. He has two games this year with over 500 passing yards and 6 TD's. He hold the yards and TD mark in MS. He is not the rushher at Godfrey but has rushed for over a 1000. He has probably rushed for 10 TD's this year and has about 50 tackles. eagleview
Imagine what his numbers would be if he actually played all four quarters. ALOT of those games are just 1st halves! You could say that for a majority of the people on that list. The article sports illustrated did on Kenneth Hall (although he is a running back on Smoak's all-time list) in the early 80s was one of the most fascinated articles that publication has ever printed. Went on to say that Hall rarely EVER took a single snap in the second half. Had several games where he was never even tackled. Amazing article if you can ever find a copy. Stump normally plays the 1st half then after twirling time, plays at least one or two series........then the backups..........

68Hornet
I've watched him since he was a freshman and he's a special player. If his classroom work is good he's got a brilliant future. Good luck.
