cayugasportsdad
You are probably right for your part of the country where the red necks from Cayuga, Cross Roads, Shady Oaks and the like kill 'em young. LOL Yeah, you're right! That's why I'm so good at scoring, you have to know what they are when the spotlight hits em!! LOL and really just kidding. On another note, you sound like you're pretty familiar with this part of the country, got a little redneck in you, too?

Yeah, I lived in Shady Oaks back in the early to late '80's and hunted all around that area. Had a lease for a long time on the Trinity and fished and duck hunted a lot. I miss it a lot. Was some good times.
PashBrofors
How would you go about killing a 30-50 lb catfish as humanely as possible? Someone else suggested walloping it on the head, but that didnt strike me as necessarily particularly human. Will a meat cleaver decapitate one? hunter92
This deer is 4 1/2, 17" wide, solid 130 to 135. I hope if you kill this deer you will measure him and post the results!
slinky16
Well, didnt get him, and neither did anyone else. Got a picture of him two weeks ago, and in my lease, nobody hunts other than me and a couple of others past Thanksgiving weekend. Hopefully can ground check him next year. If he makes it till next year, you're gonna have a heck of a buck. Maybe he's fixed up several of your does!
slinky16
This buck has shown up in the exact spot as the ten point at the start of this thread obviously a year later. He no doubt is heavier, wider. Could he be the same buck. I wasnt sure if they lose points from year to year if they aren't real old. What are yalls thoughts on him, score? hunter92
I believe this is a different buck. That doesn't mean that it is, but the buck last year had longer main beams than this buck. This buck will score about 130. IMHO
KirtFalcon
I don't think it's the same deer either. He's not as good as the other one from 09. I think 120 would be pushing it for this deer. I still say the 09 deer is somewhere close to 120 and this one is around 110.
BePhysical
3.5 - 4.5 yrs old 120- 135 for the first set of pics. I think the last set of pics may be a different deer, but me is a mature shooter IMO. I would let the buck in the first set of picks walk and mature another year. GINGERGENOCIDE
He in the 130s about 20 inches wide, but not a lot of mass. Proly 4 years old. If its me I let him walk so he has one more year to get his genetics out there and he will be bigger next year

KirtFalcon
There are a lot of 17 inch spread whitetails roaming around. True twenty-inch+ spread bucks are few and far between. That deer isn't close to 20 inches and I seriously doubt will ever be because of genetics. You really need to get a good look at what a real 20 inch buck really looks like for comparison. GINGERGENOCIDE
I have plenty of 20-22inch deer on my wall I know the difference. I wasn't trying to get be a scientist about it just givin a round-about #. If you don't believe me about my deer I'd be happy to show you some true texas whitetails.
