Your gonna understand why I'm saying this come Friday nite. There defense is the best I have EVER seen. I'm not saying this in disrespect to Tatum. They deserve to be where they are right now. Second, I still say we will be Gilmer's toughest game come Friday. The Tatum team from the non-district games was lacking confidence, teamwork, and that hunger for a good hit. That is not the team we will see on Friday night. Does that mean we will beat Gilmer? I don't know. Anyone would be a fool to say that Gilmer won't run all over us if we don't play a game with few mistakes. I see Gilmer actually leading this game early. However, the Eagles are a second-half team. The question is whether Tatum can come back enough in the second half to win, or according to some, even come close. I could be wrong and we could see a hard-nosed, old-fashioned, gridioron brawl in a close game, or we could see a blowout. Any blowout will most likely go in Gilmer's favor. However, our team has a few tricks up the old sleeves that have not been used yet this year. First, there has not been a lot of passing, and we DO have a passing game when we want it. Second, there are formations that have not made their way into a game yet. Realistically, who knows what will happen? Friday will tell. Until then, it is all speculation. I believe the final score was 29-28 Gilmer. Having said that I wish the Eagles luck, but do not believe they end the district winning streak gilmer has put together. Our Tatum motto this week is "I BELIEVE" I'm cool with ya too and I'll probably even give ya a big hug. Oh and I'll bring the klennex's to you cause ya'll will need them.
