Sorry but kimbo is not a true Mixed Martial Artist in my opinion. The UFC will do exactly what they criticized Elite XC for doing. Matching Kimbo with guys who prefer to bang. Hes tuff and throws a KO punch but he will have fights catered for his favor.

Aint that what they do with all fights??? make the best match-ups that will get people to watch???? I know he isnt very verstile as a fighter, but If I was going into a back alley and needed someone to go with me, it would be KIMBO....LOL

CoachD8
Alexander...1st Round. If all else fails, Houston takes it to the ground and Kimbo is through. Kimbo has no real MMA skills.
thefallen
Alexander...1st Round. If all else fails, Houston takes it to the ground and Kimbo is through. Kimbo has no real MMA skills. Houston doesn't have that great of a ground game either. The only thing he has as far as ground game is his brutal gnp. However, I see this one standing. It's just a matter of who touches who's chin first :)

RiderDLineman09
Dude...did you even watch the fight there was still no ground game...zero...zilch...nada. So Kimbo never slammed him??? Cuz what i saw, when i did indeed watch this fight, was kimbo take houston to the ground and not lose the fight. lol im not sayn kimbo is the greatest fighter on the ground but he took an opponent to the ground and im my opinion won the ground battle...he showed that he could keep his composure and not freak out...he never let his opponent get a better position on him i know ther wasnt much ground time n this fight. and im not sayin there was BUT what little time that WAS spent on the ground kimbo showed that his ground game has improved
RiderDLineman09
allow me to correct myself from what i said in my last post...i saw kimbo slam him twice as well as numerous takedowns...and on one occasion executed textbook ground and pound that lead to a rear naked choke(that was however unsuccessfull)

Slamming someone is not ground game thats wrestling. But it was impressive. The kimura, americana, keylock, and rear naked were all very sloppy hence the no ground game still. The kimura, americana, keylock, and rear naked were all very sloppy hence the no ground game still. you are correct they were sloppy bt thats not what im meaning to say bout kimbo in this fight...he went from avoiding the ground at all cost to taking his opponent to the ground and attempting (albeit sloppy) to gain a win by submission...to you this may be no improvement but i did see improvement in his ground game compared to the non existant one that he had...once again im not sayn kimbo has a superb ground game (i cannot recall even saying he had a good ground game at all), infact it needs a LOT of work lol but it is an improvement and thats all im trying to say and btw yes i do know slamming someone is not ground game but it is in fact one way of initiating the ground game (Hence mentioning those occasions in which kimbo slammed houston in my previous posts)... Considering this all started as my reply to someone else who said kimbo has no ground game and houston would take kimbo to the ground and submit him (which obviously wasnt the case), this argument is ridiculous...and im tired of arguing my point lol i have my opinion on kimbos improvement and i will stick by it and you have yours and im sure youll stick by it...i say its left at that...deal??? thefallen
I was impressed with the fact that Kimbo did not rush in and start slinging bombs and get caught. Not the best fight I have seen. It seemed Houston was content on just kicking the weak knee. I think Kimbo is improving and it will be interesting to see who they match him up with next. I agree his ground game still needs a lot of work but I guess we just have to see how this all plays out.
