JustAFan11
Dogus Balbay torn his ACL in the Texas Tech game. You decide big loss for the Horns or Not so bad.

GameOver09
Thats unfortunate. Big loss in terms of defense and energy, but a gain for the offense as a whole. Who knows Barnes may opt to have Justin Mason running the offense again and have J'Covan warming up the bench like in the Mizzou game. That just puzzles me. BBGF
Injuries are always sad no matter what team or what player.

Using Mason won't be much of if any upgrade over Balbay. No one respects Mason's offense either. Turn the key's over to Brown and let him learn on the fly. Is he going to make mistakes and screw up, yes, that's what a lot of freshman do. Will he learn and improve, yes. Not to mention Brown can shoot free throws fairly well. BudaSooner
I hate it when a kid tears an ACL. Really too bad. I do not see it as being a huge loss for the Horns, though. Short-term loss, yes. Long-term, no.
Baron
Anytime you lose a starter, it's a big loss. The Horns lost a lot of energy on defense.
TxFight
I think this makes Texas better in the long run and in the short term...without Balbay they did a great job in keeping a very good shooting Oklahoma State team under wraps...as I heard someone else say, people may be forgetting about Texas at just the right time because no one wants to remember this is a team that went 17-
catluv
This may be a blessing in disguise for UT. Balbay is a huge liability on offense.
