The NCAA got their wish

Recommended Posts

You may have a point. And in spite of this built-in bias towards traditional powers:

- N. Iowa beat Kansas

- Ohio beat Georgetown

- St. Mary's beat Villanova

- Cornell beat Wisconsin

- Butler beat Syracuse

- Butler beat Kansas State

- Butler beat Michigan State

Similarly, Butler had a reasonable opportunity to beat Duke.

You forget, Butler had to travel the most miles out of all te teams in the tournament to make it to the Final 4

Surely no one on here believes that the NCAA fixed this game. That's just crazy. Duke may not have been the "best" team this year, but they were the best team in this tournament.

Couldn't have said it better. All that matters is that they won 6 games in a row when it counted.

Duke was assigned to the weakest region in the tournament. They got to play the winner of the "play-in" game in the first round. To be honest, Baylor should have beaten them. An A&M team without all the injuries could have beaten them. They got a critical call in the Baylor game that took momentum away from Baylor similar to the ridiculous charge that was called on Hayward last night. The officials know of Coach K's reputation. Yes, he is a great coach but he also whines to the officials all the time. Any crucial call late in a game will go to Duke because of Coach K. He intimidates the officials.

I really wondered why Duke got that region when Kansas was the #1 overall seed got the bracket that was the toughest region of the tournament.

No problem to answer that question. Bill Self isn't a crybaby like Coach K and doesn't have the pull with the NCAA that Coach K has.
