thepit
Is this for playoff appearances, state championships or both? If playoff appearances and championships here is my list: 5A- Katy (Gary Joseph), Southlake Carrol (Todd Dodge), Euless Trinity (Steve Lineweaver), Allen (Tom Westenberg), Cedar Hill (Joey McGuire), and there are many others. 4A- Longview (John King), Denton Ryan, Highland Park, Ennis (Sam Harrell), and others. 3A- Gilmer (Keith Traylor), Giddings (Mark Fitzhenry), WOS (Dan Hooks), others can't think of right now. 2A- Celina (Coach Moore and Coach Ford also in 3A), drawing a blank on others 1A- Alto (Keith Gardner), Mart (Russell Nail), Chilton, drawing a blank on others. I know there are many more in each classification. Should be long lists on all of them. Working on Masters

rednblack2
2009 Sulphur Springs Wildcat football team. Many division 1 players and state champs.
topher805
I would put Longview in the 5A group just because they only spent two years in 4A. Yes they had two exceptional years, but the other eight years they were a force in 5A.

VonG
What has MOJO and COJU done in the last decade to be considered for team of the decade in 5a?
Red90fly
Alto was only in 1a the last half of the decade , but the 2006 team is probably the most talented 1a team to ever step on the field.
LoboFan07
In terms of consistency in East Texas, Gilmer. By far. In terms of the state, SLC...Katy...Celina...Trinity...Allen breaking through more recently...WOS (is this best TEAM from the past decade, or best program from the past decade?) freakinwin14
i would for sure have to throw in daingerfield's team from the past two years in 2A and Cayuga's team from this past year. and i originally started the thread for the teams lobo, but nothing wrong with branching out...its not like any other thread on SDC actually stays on topic for long
