flukeshot Posted March 17, 2011 Share Posted March 17, 2011 After watching the Idalou/Tatum game on TV I am still left wondering how Melissa lost. Seen Melissa beat several better teams this year. Saw a funny quote on another board that I think sums it up. "Ain't a horse that can't be rode, ain't a cowboy that can't be throwed." Thought that was pretty cute. Lubbock Estacado losing in their 3A regional was an even bigger shock than Melissa losing at state. If I'm ever again tempted to think that someone is close to unbeatable, I'll remember this year. I don't see anyway that Melissa could have won the Idalou/Tatum game, nor lost it! Maybe if Melissa would have played Clarksville in a warmup game they would have been ready for the speed of a Tatum.
