slapphappy
From what I've seen Troup isn't any better than last year. And if you remember they lost first round of the playoffs. So did Sabine. This is a weak district, but both teams are playing well for having such young athletes. Well I haven't heard from Gettinit in a while but if I made this statement I would have dissapeared also. Two teams from this weak district are in the regional quarter finals. Congrats to the Troup Lady Tigers for a very dominant win over Warren 7-1, 13-3. Also congrats to the Sabine Lady Cards. We are representing our "Weak District". Keep it rolling.
slapphappy
SABINE 11, HARDIN 10: Sabine will face either Central Heights or Buna in the Regional Quarterfinals next week What a surprise ... even though I am a Sabine fan... that a team with only two seniors has gone farther in the play-offs than any other team in District 21-AA I am not bragging that they will win it. I know that the competition gets much tougher now. (Sabine has made the Regional Quarterfinals before but never advanced) It is just since they are such a young team adjusting to a new coach, few people expected them to make it this far. Yep I think that you counted your cookies before the buzzer went off.... Troup destroyed Warren. Troup still in it Rangerfan. It was similar to how they destroyed Sabine. Bahahahahahahahaha

Rangerfan
The statement above was based on reading a score and not the article and assuming it was a softball play-off game. It was not intended as a slap at Troup. A similar thing happened yesterday someone glanced over the paper and saw that Troup (Baseball) lost and they were telling me it was the Softball team. Someone might read the headlines this morning and see that Sabine (baseball) lost two of three and think it was softball.... (Sabine fans were just thrilled that they made the play-offs for the first time since 2003) Unfortunately many of us are guilty of only glancing over the paper and not reading every article. redbird
The Softball gods have definitely smiled on The Sabine Lady Cardinals this season. Unfortunately it all ends this week at the hands of 2011 AA State Runner Up Central Heights. New Waverly will end it for Troup as well.

Actually I think the statement should be the Lady Cardinals run will end this week as they meet up with the Select team "Bad Attitude" who just so happened to show up at registration at Central Heights a few years ago! slapphappy
Redbird for some reason you Sabine people have a problem keeping up with the bracket. New Waverly got beat by Woodville. So looks like your prediction is already wrong. Oh and way to support your team by predicting a loss for them. Good luck Sabine from Troup. If Redbird wont support yall we will send a little love from T-Town.

Rangerfan
Woodville had it setup Saturday where the Softball Pay-off and the Basebal play-off were side by side in Lufkin. Both series went to a third game and the Eagle fans went back and forth between the two games. I was at the baseball game but by the way New Waverly girls walked to the bus I could tell Woodville must have won...they later announced it at the baseball game. I make no predictions about the next round. Good Luck to both our Lady Cardinals and the Troup Lady Tigers.

Pretty cool to have the teams playing side-by-side. I'm sure it helped their turnout. Won't happen again this week though. Crockett/Woodville on the baseball field Friday and Saturday while Slocum/Garrison play on the softball field at least Friday...

And I really hope Sabine pulls off the upset. What are you gonna do then pick your team to lose again. Fans like you are not needed. Good luck to the Troup Lady Tigers. And Lady Cards prove this fair weather fan wrong.
redbird
I would like to see Sabine win. I am just being realistic about their chances. Troup I really don't care either way but If they win then good for them.

Rangerfan
At The Top of the 7th inning the score was Central Heights 8 Sabine 0 Then the lightening came and the game was delayed. The rain fiollowed. (you can not call a play-off game because of rain.. all 7 innings must be played) Everyone went inside the Indoor practice field waiting to for the rain to stop. I made a run for the car and they were still waiting at 9:45. Also waiting was the Henderson High School and Gladewater High School softball teams which had come over from Whitehouse and were going to finish their game when Sabine Central Heights was over. One of the Umpires told me it might be after midnight before the game resumed.

Rangerfan
The paper said that Sabine and Central Heights were to finish their game today at 1:00 p.m. in Nacogdoches. I was not going to drive all that way for 1 Inning and I don't have anybody's number to call and get a score. Maybe it will be in the paper tomorrow.
