Coach Rab
Let's say LSU upsets the cats tomorrow and slip into the SEC final... Do they sneak in the dance as a bubble team? Remember they beat #9 marquette earlier in the season and a traditionally strong ga tech team.
h-town12
Not sure. They haven't been listed on any of the experts last four in/out. RPI is around 80 and SOS is around 60. W/L vs top 100 is 4-9, which while not great isn't absolute trash. A big negative though is the losing record in the SEC. I'm not sure how many teams have ever made the tourney from the SEC with a losing conference record. I think they get an NIT invite, but to make the NCAAs they will need to win the SEC tournament. Immortal13
Lsu is not going to beat Kentucky
Coach Rab
5-6 teams in the SEC are good enough to go... Lsu would be the 7th or 8th best team in the sec this year, BUT if they were to beat kentucky... Big IF... Would LSU become a bubble team assuming they don't suffer a terrible loss should they lose before the finals?
TripleDogDare
I'm sure stranger things have happened, but my guess is that it's pretty rare for a #78 RPI team to get an at-large berth. I think it's win the SEC tournament or NIT.
