Top Performances of 2012

Recommended Posts

It was thread started last year posting top performances in the area. I haven't seen a thread for the 2012 season. Celtic09 did a pretty good job with updates..

Off the top of my head here are some East Texas numbers that stick out at me.

Lawson of L-E long jumping over 24 and triple jumping over 51..

Atlanta's Lafayette went 10.6 in the 100.

Tatum girls 4x100 relay team is running in the 48s.. The same four girls that won state in it last year.

Tatum girls 4x200 relay is in the low-mid 1:44s... Should put them in the mix at state.

Also, the defending girls TJ champion from Tatum has been working on LJ as well.. Look for some good numbers.

As soon as I can, I will update with the Longview paper's elite. It's incomplete, though, as it does not include Tyler area teams. I know there are two distance kids from Lindale who are running well (Cicotti and Watson), and Hayden from Whitehouse.

Maybe the Tyler paper will have some sort of T&F Elite

All right, gang. Here is the EAST TEXAS ELITE as of March 20, 2012. I hope you guys love me, because I will be a year older when I finish this (literally...my brthday is tomorrow!)

All kidding aside, if anyone sees a mistake, please PM me or just post below. I will add as it becomes necessary. I will make corrections and additions to this post as I get them throughout the season, and as I get more results. As always, congrats to all the kids on this list, and best of luck as District, Regionals, and hopefully, STATE approach.

Thx fiddlesticks. I'll add those and a few others I have later today. Most of that was from just 1-2 meets, but I have some scattered results from txrunning.com and ttfca.com that I'll get to later.

Hanah Nichol Lone Oak (2A):

800M - 2:29.3

1600M - 5:29.9

3200M - 12:10.0

Since we are in Region III, I assume LO is east enough.

Coach Lee,

I will update the list after this weekend's meets, and will include the times you posted. I have a few others that folks have PM'ed to me, and will include those as well.

Also, for anyone going to the Texas Relays, I would love to get some results and post what our ET kids do.

Anyone see what Brady Turnbull ran today at Texas Relays in the mile? 4:12 first place! Smokin' fast. He will take the 4A Mile and 2Mile at State this year I predict. Ryan Teel has his work cut out for him.

Turnbull is a beast. That is a great performance. I will update the list in the next few days. TX Relays, WH, Paris, Henderson, several others.

I'm seeing some slower times coming in from a lot of results. I think there are some tired legs now but I hope everyone recovers in time for the district meets.

Sorry for the lack of updates this week. It's been hectic! I will try to get things done after the Bill Secord Relays at Spring Hill. Thanks for everyone's patience. Keep sending me the times, though. I suspect the landscape will change a good bit once District Meets are upon us.

Lone Oak is always hiding, these are the only results I have seen from them all year, they are never at any of the meets our district teams are usually at. Scares me. No clue what they will be bringing to district this week!

Lone Oak's girls team is very strong again this year. Only lost one runner from last year. They have won all but one track meet this year. They are strong in all

three relays, the sprints, the middle distance races and distance races, hurdles and long jump and triple jump. Only track meet lost was to Commerce by 8 pts. Commerce got 36 pts in shot put & discus and LO doesn't have girls in either of those events.
