Junior college athletes on average get more game-time experience in their first two years. 3. Four year universities often offer more scholarship to experienced transfer students then to incoming freshmen, due to the student'smeasured success at the college level. 4. In today's economy individuals and colleges are limited in the amount they can give for education. 5. Qualifying for Federal Pell-Grant may cover up to 99% of NTCC tuition cost. 6. NTCC has no classes on Fridays. Ultimately, the question is: "How much do you want to pay for the exact same thing?" futfan
what about kids that were playing in regional tourney this weekend? Being that the university is in Mount Pleasant's back yard, I would think that they would want to wait for some of the local talent. At Senior night, many of the players had annonced their intentions to attend there, anyway. I am sure Brian knows of them. It will probably not affect their chances. cafu
Wow, never thought I would get 7 replies on this post. I would just like to clear a few things up, because it seems some have misconstrued one of our tryout dates as a snub of sorts. For us tryouts are a way to find the diamonds in the rough. There are many, many players out there, some looking to transfer, others in the workforce dreaming of playing again, and other just not on anyone's radar. A great example; last year we had a player from Gilmer, who never played "high school" soccer. He led us in scoring until injured, and when he came back he was scoring again. As far as the Regional/playoff teams, we are very blessed to have MP Soccer in our backyard and even more so blessed that so many are willing to stay and play. I have spoken to many players, coaches and parents around the area. And, I would hope that anyone would realize they all have an open invitation to visit our campus and see what we have to offer. We will have another tryout/visitation day April 28, 2012 Lady's@ 11:00, Gentlemen @ 1:00 If anyone has any questions my email address: [email protected]
