Middlebrooks is tearing it up at Triple A Pawtucket (Red Sox). Hitting .379, 7 homers and 22 rbi after only 16 games. He may be headed up to the bigs very soon...

Will's sister Lacey is having her best year at University of Tulsa. She's 12-3 this year on the mound and hitting well over .300. She was on ESPN 3 on Saturday and beat Houston, 3-2.

Former Liberty-Eylau Standout, Will Middlebrooks P/SS, made his MLB Debut Wed night vs the Oakland A's. Will went 2-3 with a 2B, BB, SB, and K. Today he hit his first MLB HR, a grand-slam vs the Orioles. He is the first Red Sox player to have an extra base hit in his first three games. He doubled vs the O's on Friday.

Congratulations to Will for his first MLB home run - a grand slam! ‘hit it off the Orioles Tommy Hunter in the same marathon game in which Longview’s Chris Davis picked up the victory.

He had quite a whip for a leg. His extra points used to go almost over the fence in the curve of the track at our old place, on a regular basis. Good pop on the ball.

Will just hit a 3 run bomb

Since then, he's hit a 2B to CF and a line drive off the LF foul pole for a 2-run dinger.

Three hits tonight, with 5 RBI.

Has had another bad throwing error, though, to 1B. Needs to correct that quick.

With that kind of run production, I would allow him an error per game!Good trade!

Ask him if he's willing to allow himself one error per game.

Will's two errors are not the norm. He's an incredible fielder with the "best" infield arm in the Red Sox organization. I saw one of the errors and it was a really tough play where he charged and made a bad throw. He's not Brooks Robinson yet, but he's probably a better hitter than Brooks, who is a Hall of Famer.
