The softball world has lost a true Champion-Roy Ray. Many of you may have had the pleasure to be umpired by Roy Ray. Roy has umped all levels of high school softball, basketball and many other sports in East Texas. It is with a sad heart that I report that Roy Ray has passed away. His funeral will be held, Saturday, May 5th at 12pm at College Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Tyler. 1314 W Houston St. Please join us as we say goodbye to awesome person who loved the athletes and respected the game. All players are asked to wear their uniform jersey to the funeral. We will also line up on the street after the service to show how much we loved Roy.

Roy had such a unique way to interact with the players and the fans. He always made you laugh and he knew exactly how to lighten the mood. He will truly be missed.
