'Boys and 'Skins Appeals Denied

Recommended Posts

Of course they were denied. They're appealing to the same person who issues the punishment. That's "one" of the many problems with Roger Goodell! You can't be the person responsible for appealing punishments when you are also the person handing out the punishments. That's just stupid!

Considering the NFLPA had already colluded with the NFL to nuke two teams for the betterment of the rest, it was a longshot without going to court.

Going Al Davis on the league is probably the only true way of fighting this, and the net gain will be minimal ( mostly consisting of dragging Goodell's name through the mud, which is being done with gusto lately).

It may have been more of a benefit for the Cowboys to have filed a grievance against Mara himself rather than the league, since he had no objectivity (and admitted such) in dealing with something involving two teams in his division while giving a pass to teams outside of it.

I agree. Any net gain is not going to be worth the fight. Jones should file this in his back pocket and retaliate when least expected.

There will come a time when Goodell will need something from each of these owners & that's when they should come out ruthless with guns blazing

Amazing that both of these old rivals have won a combined 3 playoff wins in the past 16 years with all the money they've spent on talent.

It is the same everywhere. The best talent and (or) the most money will not guarantee wins or championships. I have been saying this for a long time.

Was there ever a bigger instance of conflict of interest?
