tiger19
What players were picked for the East texas All stars team on the boys side? I have a problem with the quote East texas All stars when Ive not heard of any City of Longview Kid being picked for the East Texas All Star team. Can someone elaborate on where the players were from and who decides who they are?

ooRufusoo
Then why would they say east Texas if it's just Tyler area ?
futfan
Then why would they say east Texas if it's just Tyler area ? I would think if the name were to actually rep the area, there would be a few from other teams, (MP, etc) But then, I see examples of name misuse, Cheerleading squads announcing they were "National Champs" when they went to a competition in Houston, and a team from Lake Charles and Tulsa were there, so it gets billed as "National". Not Quite accurate. Still let them call it what they want, they are in East Texas, so no real harm. Just makes people wonder why, when you could just be up front. It would carry a little more credence, IMHO.
