Tyler Christian Heritage routed ETCA Tyler 11-0 Tuesday night. The Tyler CHS plays blood rival Longview CHS at 5 PM Friday night at Patriot Field in Tyler. Should be an interesting game.

 

 

One thing I got to do was talk to CHS Tyler Coach Elias Martinez who I can tell is an outstanding coach. CHS Tyler will be Tough to beat this year. He told me that last year they beat Grace once, and tied them once, they beat All Saints like a step child and beat Gorman 4-1. So a school that has to rely on home schooled kids to fill in the gaps might be the best soccer team in Tyler aside from the public schools. As a former CHS student I am happy with that.

 

This team gets overlooked because it is the smalles private school in Tyler but goes to the TCAL state tournament basically every year. They lost in the state finals last year 2-1 against a team that has 300 kids in their High School, while CHS Tyler has 80.
