This is the best team we've had in 3-4 years when we had a nice playoff run. Hopefully getting back to where we were. Although....last year's win over JT and breaking their LONG district winning streak that dated back to when they were still 5A was pretty sweet too. It's kind of perplexing how this school can be going on 2 decades without a decent team. Football Football Football, thats all they know at T High , sad, and I believe thats the way Norton likes it. Texas High has been very good in almost every sport except basketball. Tennis, swim, baseball, track, and until recently football have been excellent for a prolonged period. Hallsville hosts Pine Tree to try and get even with them in the win department in the district race. Sulphur Springs travels to the Tiger Center in Texarkana to try and get their first district win, while the Tigers try and get back on the winning track to potentially force a 3 way tie between them and Hallsville/PT (if Hallsville wins). Texas High now is 4-3 in district play and SS remains without a district win at 0-7. In SS tonight the Texas High girls won by a score of 63-61 to set up a big game Tuesday night ( at Texas High ) for what will more then likely be for the 14-4A championship against the MP girls. I believe Texas High is 3-4..... not 4-3 in distrct play. Scores I have for them are: Beat PT 64-54 Beat SS 56-49 Lost to MP by 10 lost to Marshall 72-61 lost to Hallsville 62-54 Lost to PT 47-40 beat SS 59-43 correct me if any of those are wrong. I think it was like 67-45 or something of that nature. Mavs stay all alone in first place with 2 to go. Final home game Friday night when they host Sulphur Springs...... I heard that the Texas High girls beat the MP girls in Texarkana tonight by a score of 49-43. That would make the Texas High girls the 14-4A champions.
